A Lot Warmer, And A Lot More Open Terrain,

Both By The End Of The Day.

Mountain Op’s intention is to open some Versant Sud/South Side
terrain as soon as possible today, after the finish of the 24 Hr. Event.

PLUS ... New Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Bush Zone Open Today,
Trail # 97, LTE, Un-Groomed Mogul Zone under the Lowell
Thomas Quad, OPEN.

Here is a file shot of LTE as seen looking down
over, as you ride up the Lowell Thomas Quad.
At the far end of the visible lift is the Lowell T
base loading zone, and farther off is the
Beauchemin mid-point plateau that leads off
to Beauchemin Bas/Lower. Just to the right of
the Lowell T Quad Base you can see a small
utility hut and that is on the very bottom run-out
of Trail # 70, Gagnon, as it has descended from
the Expo Quad sector peak.

Weather Notes:

Cool to start with, but a significant warming trend on the way in now.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Please Note: Nansen Bas/Lower is indicated closed for at least
the duration of the 24Hr. Event. That officially ends at noon so
there may be some chance of a mid-to-late reopen of Nansen
Bas/Lower, however that is undetermined at this time. Otherwise,
return to Sud/South Resort Base by Gondola download.

Other Sud/South side trails restricted to the 24Hr. Event course
may or may not become available today. There have been previous
years where some have, there have been previous years where
it’s basically been Monday before reopening because it can
take up to the next day to remove barriers and/or groom the
track to restore public safety standards criteria of the Ski Patrol.
This may depend on human and/or machine resources.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Expert fans of this trail group are going to be happy
to have an expanding small select trail group for this
category with the newly open LTE mogul run under
the Lowell Thomas Quad. It is quite likely that there
will be significant challenge and some Ski Patrol
hand posted hazard warnings. This is not the 15th
of February so there will be variable wood/rock
contact potential and the only way to safely approach
these new season openings that don’t have mature
snowfall depths yet, is to use very slow speeds in
order to be able to pivot, stop, hop, jump, or any
other form of instant navigational correction, prior
to contact.

Depending on conditions and/or the traffic volume today,
this may be applicable to all Sous Bois open zones as
wear factors can be exhibited fairly quickly in the shallow
early season depths.

Archival Copy Of Official Daily Message:

For the second day of the 24h of Tremblant, we’re
excited to offer you 23 trails, primarily located on
the North Side. Please note that until the event
concludes in the early afternoon, the return to the
South Base will be via the Gondola.

The Nansen trail will be closed for access to the South
Base from opening until the end of the 24H. We’ll do
our best to open the trails as soon as possible after
the event wraps up, but we kindly ask for your patience
and cooperation as you await patrol authorization before
venturing onto them. Enjoy an unforgettable day on the mountain!

Please take note that the alpine touring trails are closed.

With the return of cold temperatures, snowmaking will
resume in several areas of the mountain. We are optimistic
with our plan and hope to open several new slopes soon!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
