Here We Go Again...
At least it’s brief...
There are good chances it may be nothing other
than foggy today, which means that the most
dampness you might feel could be a slightly wet
butt from the condensation on the lift cushions.
The poncho fixes that by being just long enough
that you’re sitting on its membrane instead of
a wet surface, so it’s still a practical option.
Weather Notes:
It helps to remember that technically, it’s still “Fall”
for another 5 days and these types of up’s ’n down’s
are totally normal as we transition into more sustained
winter weather patterns.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Spring-like very high lateral grip in soft top layers
that may include ranges of both very fast, to somewhat
sticky.
The embedded cold just below the surfaces should
help to keep those soft top layers shallow and with
the typical low traffic of a wet weather day, the groomed
performance should actually be very fine and durable
for the entire day.
Of course... remaining comfortably dry may be the challenge
but our top and standard illustration of the Descente brand
Poncho is arguably the very best, most practical way to do that.
Regarding Vision Challenges:
It is literally warm out already, you don’t need the thermal
seal around eyes from goggles that can actually cause them
to fog up on the inside, what you do need are yellow curved lens
industrial safety glasses to enable contour definition and keep
wind and wet particle blast out of your eyes at descent speeds.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
Yesterdays “Choppy” with a dose of wet equals todays closed.
We might anticipate this group could be off-line for a while,
however there is the potential for some new snowfall in a couple
of days that could help restore these areas. The Ski Patrol will
be periodically monitoring conditions, but typically, going from
warm back to cold increases challenge and risk so Sous Bois
fans need to be patient during these very common late “Fall”
temp oscillations that happen around the freezing mark.

Archival Copy Of Official Daily Message:
Bonjour Tremblant! Today, the weather forecast predicts rain
in the morning, which will be followed by a cloudy day.
The snow conditions will resemble spring skiing, with
soft and wet snow. We wish you an excellent day!
With the return of cold temperatures next Thursday,
snowmaking will resume in several areas of the mountain.
We are optimistic with our plan and hope to open several
new slopes soon!
