Fly Under The Radar Excellence.
Versant Nord/North Side Le Tunnel Shown As Groomed.
The Ultimate In Groomed Refinements In The Trinity Of Excellence.(#)
Here is file shot of one of the very best Boreal forest
Pre-Cambrian, perfect fall-line groomed trails on Planet Earth.

(#) For purposes of recognition for the benchmarks of what
we consider to be the pinnacle of any winters groomed trail
refinements at Tremblant, we label Versant Nord/North Side
Trails # 64,65,66, Marie-Claude Asselin, Banzai, and Le Tunnel
respectively, as “The Trinity Of Excellence”.
Only Mother Nature Can Make Granite Flow Like A River
And When Groomed As They Are Now, Their Pre-Cambrian
Topographical Brilliance, Shaped By 4 Billion Years Of Evolution,
Comes Alive.
"Though They Be Small, Their Significance Is HUGE."

The significant importance of this attainment can not be overstated.
Because...
When This Occurs, You KNOW Everything Else
Falls Into The Category Of...
Average Is Excellent.
You might be here to ski Tremblant from any far
corner of the world, and you may be a Beginner,
or never explore to ski these scenically magnificently
beautiful trails, but every singe person who skis
on groomed runs here right now will benefit from
the overall excellence when these symbolic “Canaries
In The Coal Mine” indicate such superlative finished
trail quality.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Average Is Excellent With A Side-order Of Rare Opportunities...
Groomed as they are indicated, overnight these trails become
easily accessible to X 100’s more Tremblant guests than when
they were in the raw state of huge irregular moguls without rhythm.(#)
The top shot in this journal entry is of 2 Intermediate’s enjoying
a rest stop and that’s the unbridled beauty of going here now,
from confident Intermediate to legitimate Experts this rare
opportunity has immeasurable reward.
Easy Steep’s...
The Intermediates can easily learn and grow steeper challenge
skills and the Experts can do high impact aggressive parallel
turn style long, continuous F.I.S. type mogul-turns, but without
the knee-blasting bumps.
Skiing here now will literally make you a better technical skier
because you are compelled to control speed and turns by both
the width of the trail, as well as the fact that as they were former
T-Bar lift lines, so their fall-lines are architecturally perfect. All
that makes it amazingly easy with this level of surface perfection.
The turn skills you make so naturally here can then be transferred
to any steep descent line you ever ski for the rest of your life.

(#) What happens when they get left for too long is that
the differences in turning styles and snow displacement
forces between skiers and snowboarders generate very
irregular, uneven moguls with no rhythm and harsh, deep,
unforgiving side cuts that inhibit consistent skills application.
Roughly speaking, it turns into an awkward survival zone.
Grooming periodically here is a brilliant re-set for everyone.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
With continued reference to Nord/North Le Tunnel as
a case study sample, it is safe to say that by far, most
of the Sous Bois fans that go to this sector now, ski or
board in the adjacent Hors Piste open bush anyway,
even when the main cut trails are not groomed.
All of that Hors Piste should be in extraordinarily fine
shape for this date.
There will be underlaying mogul traffic patterns across
all open Sous Bois, but today they should mostly be
covered, subject to individual sector wind-shaping,
in a blanket of deep drifted in fresh snow so all you
need to do is be a legitimate Expert that can maintain
complete control at all times.
As fantastic as it should be for Boreal Forest Hors Piste,
it is exactly that, a forest, so the hazards are largely
too much speed in the proximity of trees that don’t
move if you find one in your out of control path.
This is particularly applicable when drift-in generates
uneven depths over descent line topography, so rates
of forward resistance can change instantly creating
either unexpected speed or braking.
The summary for the overall Sous Bois group is that
as great for this date as it is, use your head, stay slow,
and don’t be dragging your Intermediate friends into
of these Hors Piste zones irresponsibly.
