Get Ready For Great!
Considering all the volatility in the weather,
dropping temps and loads of snowfall are
an excellent reset, a great place to start from,
for a return to an extended forecast of authentic
winter conditions!
Weather Notes:
While folks all the way down to Florida are
shivering in their blankets, it's well within
normal winter temp ranges here, so bundle
up and enjoy the unique performance that
is inherent in cool snow!
-------------- Supplementary Weather Data: --------------------
Conditions Notes:
Generally:
We’ve dodged a bit of a weather bullet that metaphorically
was a close call near miss because the daytime high yesterday
got up to +3 at Sud/South Base levels. The laws of physics
apply and there may be some mid-to-low elevation signs
of thaw influence but we think they should be small or minor
in comparison to the overall quality of having close to 30cm’s
of fresh snowfall in the last 4 days, especially with 7 of those
last night.
The fact that the Open trail list remains at fully Open 102/102
with zero progressive’s, already speaks volumes.
In The Groomed:
Very fine and working back up to excellent as
the drop in temps and the forecast stability of
consistent cool should lead us forward to an
extended time frame of incremental refinements
every single day for the foreseeable future.
There are some zones of slick or icy substrates
however in the overall picture they are very small
and your notice of them will be directly proportional
to how well tuned your skis edges are.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
Tons of recent fresh snow with dropping temps
that commonly “cook out” the internal humidity
typically produce a lighter, more powdery feel
in the Hors Piste. The un-groomed may be a
different story but as we are quickly approaching
the 300cm’s total, forgiveness and hazard coverage
are genuinely at mid-season levels, probably and
guesstimating at roughly two to three weeks ahead
of last year at this stage.
Otherwise... Tomorrows theme... Escalating refinements over cryogenic influences.

Bring Back The Memories...
Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
