Weather Notes:

The Official Snow Report does not show any new snow
but we can tell you for a fact that there are variable
overnight accumulations around 3cm’s and that will
absolutely be noticeable as a very fine cushion in or
over the groomed array.

Well used for sure, but still fabulous coverage!





Conditions Notes:


In The Groomed:

Incremental refinements within the scope of freshly groomed
terrain that have a synergistic benefit from fresh snow being
integrated into the blended soft top layers, all with a noticeable
reduction in the firm or icy bits that followed the recent thermal
event.

Pitch/slope angle will continue to have a relationship with
reliable all-day consistency so expect the most durable top
quality in the Green’s and lesser angled Blue’s, but with Spring
Break holiday traffic, there may be later day tendencies for the
steeper Black Diamond Expert pitches to exhibit wear or base
exposures that with too much speed could be perceived as slick
or icy.

Be aware/observant of evolving patterns, especially after the noon
hour. Do not assume that the Black pitch you did this morning will
be exactly the same mid-aft.

Watch out for shared skill level traffic. We have observed a lot of
straight line speeding in what should be slow zones so scan before
you make any sudden stops or turns.


In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Lots of newly re-opened terrain, and with fresh snow too,
however, there are likely going to be a lot of wild cards
due to wind-shaping over and around contours or through
bumps, all over a very firm base with potential icy bits that
may be snow-camo covered.

Absolute speed control with cautious Expert experienced
navigation is required as conditions could vary by the metre
and back again. Conditions could also vary substantially during
open hour evolving traffic patterns. See LTE example above.

Pattern recognition and proactive cautions are critical safety
practice. Natural hazards exist and are not always visible from
above until you are directly on top, so check your speed if you
can’t clearly see between contours or bumps.

There’s great adventure around every corner, you just need
to be responsibly cautious in all your explorations.
