What a difference a couple of days make.
From -27C 2 days ago to a possible high of 0C today... Wow...
Right now we have -14C and that will rise steadily through the
morning when it should reach -1C or so by just after lunch.
If it does go over the freezing mark, it should be later on in the
afternoon and the precipitation could be Snow, but it could also
be rain or ice pellets.
Obviously, the temps will be easy, lets hope there are no ill effects
to the surfaces.
Maybe the weather forecast will be wrong and it will only snow and
stay below freezing. Time will tell.
Regardless of what the weather does, The SKIING and BOARDING WILL
BE EXCELLENT !
Technically speaking, We could have a day or 2 of "spring skiing" conditions,
but "Spring" conditions with a twist... Full coverage. Usually, "spring” conditions
means a reduction in the base, but that will not be the case over the short run
for the next day or 2 because there is so much ambient cold in the Mountain,
so our base will not suffer too much, even if we do see the forecast highs.
