12/18/13 #Tremblant Conditions

T360 Apres Ski Edit.... @ 10:45 P.M.

At the Time of this writing, there is no Posted Preliminary
Open Trail List for Tomorrow.

(Caveat: Before you read the following,
Please Note That We Could Be Totally Wrong.)

Typically, that info.is released Mid-Afternoon, so when it does
not appear, and there is this much Snow...

...It May Suggest that there could be an expansion in Tomorrows
Open Trail Numbers that can NOT YET BE CONFIRMED.

As far as we know...

Safe Trail Openings are contingent on co-ordinated Ski Patrol
and Mountain Crew efforts and when there's so much going on at once,
i.e. so much Snowmaking, i.e. so much Fresh Natural Snow,
we think it's possible it's just taking longer to verify the list.

A couple of Variable Examples could be...

It could have something to do with MORE SNOW forecasted
for tonight....

It could have something to do with what can get Groomed....

We do not know for sure, but with this much Snow, we think
it's unlikely to see the Open Number go down.

We will just have to wait for the morning and see what's on the list,
but we're keeping our fingers crossed for more anyway.

Snowmaking Continued all day on Expo.

Overnight lows tonight @ -12 C, Base Resort Level, so great, even lower
snowmaking temps up on the Mountain.

53(*) Open Trails on Tremblant's Great, Early, Pre-Christmas Slopes.

There is no doubt in our minds that with all the early season snow,
and the excellent Cold Snap that has helped to put frost deep into
the Mountain, that we are off to a Great Start that's ahead of average
by quite a bit in quantity and quality.

When you have scenes like this that you can reference to "Now",
that would look good to anyone in late January or February, you know
what we mean.

We think what you'll find now is a major push forward
to have some of Tremblant's Marquee Terrain Open for the
upcoming Holiday Time period.

Within the Ski Resort industry, this is one of the peak periods
of Guest Visits, so there's an obvious motivation to have as
much Open as possible for the Competitive Advantage within
the Regional Array of choices consumers have.

Dedicated Tremblant Fans will benefit from that and we expect to
see in particular, Soleil Sector and Expo Sector development to
materialize into Openings in the near future. From nothing other
than telephoto observation off of the Open LaTendre loop around
the bottom of the Edge Sector, one might expect something there too.

This coming weekend may be a sign of any or all of that, but only
time will tell.

----------------- 10:35 A.M. Update -------------

Here's some more evidence of the development we anticipate
on the Expo Sector Opening.

We know people who come out to Ski this one Sector only, so
for sure, there will be some smiling faces looking at this one.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
