Mid-Night Apres Ski Update....

Two Days ago we wrote:

"From nothing other than telephoto observation off of the Open LaTendre
loop around the bottom of the Edge Sector, one might expect something
there too."
(reference: Opening)

So, we went by this sign today and took this pic thinking it might
be useful.... please forgive the laid over annotation...

The whole Rope Tow, North Park, line looks to be nicely finished and well
attended. The Upper and Lower sections are separated by an "S" shape
banked contour run.

Small Conditions Caveat:

Surprisingly we found a couple of icy bits, the most notable
being on Beauchemin, on the pitch, just below the entrance
to the Edge Sector.

If we found one, there may be more. Caution is mandatory
on initial Explorations.

-------------- 12:57 A.M. Orig. Post ------------------

48(*) Open Trails on the potentially Super Snowy Slopes of Tremblant.

At the time of this way-early writing, there are 10 "Progressive" Openings
listed as well, so if they all clear there will be 58(*) Open Trails.

Please Note: Due to Holiday/Travel commitments this is
a very early edition of the T360 Mountain Conditions
Report.

Page/Topic may be under all day, eventual, progressive
Construct, Edit, Modification...

But regardless... There Could Be A TON of Snow Tomorrow...

Forecasts Are Not Guarantee's,

but they are Strong Probabilities...

So get ready, just in case.

Here is a wind picture of North America.

A HUGE dip in the Jet Stream(Lower Pink Arrows) coming all the way
from the Left Coast(Pacific) is running downward, swinging across
the Gulf of Mexico picking up vast quantities of warm Moist air
and then heading straight to the St Lawrence River Valley.

With temps right at the freezing mark, those on the lower
side, mostly Ontario, may have a debilitating FREEZING RAIN EVENT
that could effect millions of people.

On the North side, near/about Tremblant... cold arctic air moving
down towards it(Upper pink arrows, above) could mean a really big collision
with the warm moist air(Big Yellow Circle, Small Green Circle)
and really Big Snow.

The one below is a Zoomed-In look at where the Jet Stream is meeting
the Arctic Air Flows and if you look just above Lake Erie, like pretty much
Guelph, Ontario ... you can see both the Jet Stream coming up from the
South and the Arctic Flows coming down and converging.

These two above are current, so the way we understand it, the future is
forecast to have that junction moving in a North-Easterly Direction up the
St.Lawrence River Valley.

In the next 48hrs we could see between 12 and 20 some odd
Centimetres Of Fresh New Snow.

It could be a Major Pain for the whole rest of Eastern North America
while we're having fun Skiing/Boarding!

Otherwise Weather... easy -4 C, daytime high,
slight North Breeze. Overcast.... Snow In The Air
and more to come!

Stay Tuned for more detail as our time permits.

Thanks for your patience.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
