The simple beauty of finding yourself in these extraordinary settings
is beyond what any words can describe.

Todays Conditions should be about 95% Fabulously Wonderful For
All Rated Skill Level Postings.

This will definitely be a "Something for Everyone" day. Be careful to
observe any superseding hand posted Ski Patrol Warnings that are
posted for local conditions that may increase difficulty beyond the
normal rating for the Trail you're selecting.

If you're looking at this as any part of researching Tremblant as a
prospective destination, take the time to scroll back through the dates
of this fully indexed record to really look closely at the pic's. In addition
to Tremblant's World Class, Technically Brilliant, Alpine Snow Sports Terrain,
the Natural Beauty of Tremblant's remarkable scenery has been impressing
Guests since 1939.

(if you can, try viewing these images on a Big Wide Screen, Hi-Def,
Smart T.V., or from a laptop HDMI source to Big Wide Screen, Hi-Def T.V..
We don't get to see 'em like that often, but we had a demo over
the X-mas Holidays and they looked pretty good in the big format.
We're aiming for a sort of "Tremblant Geographic" presentation
that permits the observer to examine detail in a manner that would
be useful if planning a visit, and/or for the best "Window" into the
current Trends, as practical(for us) Amateur Photography permits, within
the framework and Archival values of this forum.

A really high quality BIG SCREEN viewing experience is the closest we
can put you to standing on the Mountain at Tremblant, especially if you're
somewhere like Chawton, in rural Hampshire, U K., East Hampton,
Long Island New York, U.S.A., Riverview, New Brunswick, Can.,
Gaylord Mich., U.S.A., Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, or Hong Kong.

This is a Tremblant Global "No Thumbnail Zone".)

Above: Scenic Retrospects.

We've got 100's of unprocessed images and we can't possibly get through
all of them with busy Holiday Family/Travel commitments, but we just have
to add beauties like these, from Christmas Eve., while we're talking about Classic
Tremblant Scenery.

------------ Conditions Caveats: -------------

We are very pleased to see the Grooming Icon on "Action", the main
access from Summit to Base on the Edge Sector. This Grooming
adds an immeasurable degree of "User Friendly" to the Edge, so with
that done, the Hazard/Difficulty Caveats we felt were appropriate for
the Edge are no longer applicable due to the ease of descent now possible.

VISION may well be the big obstacle today. With Warmer, anywhere
this close to freezing temps, and foggy, snowy elements, Icy particle
freezing on goggles can be a huge safety issue. It's super important to
take the time to clean lenses before you start any descent.

There may still be either soft zones or icy spots although we feel
they will be greatly diminished from the period of recent, frequent
Winter Storm Warnings where wind worked to both bury some zones
and blow off others.

Watch Out For Moguls Below Crests... that may not be visible
until you are over the crest.

If you have not personally explored the areas your in already, use
reduced speed to verify safe, first passage.

---------------------------------------------------------

Todays Weather:

Foggy, Snowy, Very Foggy Snowy at the Summit...

Heavy Overcast and Snow Flurries with very mild Temps at right or a degree
below freezing. Wow, compared to recent -20 C's, beach weather.
West winds moderate at Base level, potentially gusty at Summit levels,
but not hard to deal with at these warm temps.

This blip in the temps will hopefully not affect Surface Conditions very
much, if at all. With lower temps at Higher Mountain elevations, we feel
the Snow Quality has a very high probability of unaltered condition
as temps trend downward later on today. From that point, temps
are forecast to work back ever downward over the next 5-7 days to
seasonal levels.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)

Of Particular Note To Future Tremblant Destination Researchers:

At one time or another, every Ski Resort on Planet Earth experiences
Lift Lines. Tremblant has a good Lift System for maintaining Up-Hill
capacity, so peak Lift Traffic Delays are never excessively long. Regardless
of the busiest days, Tremblant's 4 sides and 14 Lift Options mean you can
almost always find a sector with little or no wait at all.

You might have to endure one longer wait cycle to get to the Summit,
but once at the top, there's usually no reason you have to do that again
if you select from the variety of available choices.

Continuing on with our request for Holiday Lift Line Info.

We're going to show the Short Lines first because the point is
that there may be a longer line at the Gondola, but there are so
many lift options at Tremblant, you can almost always find
much shorter lines elsewhere. In the case of the Gondola, and
on this specific date, right next door at the Flying Mile Quad,
the wait time is half as long, or less.

So, you can go to the Gondola if you want, but any of the above
options are from half to ZERO wait, especially if you use the singles lines
for maximum up-hill efficiency.
