Summit Levels...
This Web Cam Snap Shot shows a Frosty White Appearance on
Summit roof Structures and Trees that indicate the presence of
Sub-Zero Temps. The fine tree needles in particular are uninsulated
and very sensitive to the slightest warmth.

We've been saying all along that Summit sectors have been exempt
from thaw through much of the recent weather just because the Base
Level temps at so close to Zero C(say plus 4 or less), have meant
the elevation differential at 3 to 5 C Cooler for the Summit, has kept
upper level terrain Sub-Zero during a lot of the January Thaw.
"NORTH" RULES....
This January Thaw should be recorded as one of the more
significant ones of it's type. Considering the way it has affected
the whole of Eastern North America, we don't think that could
be disputed.
Due to it's more Northerly Latitude, Tremblant has had comparatively
much less affects from it as the temps did not go above freezing by
more than 4 or less degrees C for 90%, and the overnights were
mostly Sub-Zeros, thereby minimizing loss.
"Comparatively", regionally South areas were subjected to much higher
daytime "Plus" temps.(sometimes double) and... extended 24 hour cycles
of continuously exposed above freezing temps to their Bases.
The Benefit to Tremblant Guests now, is both the Quickness of Quality
in restoration, and the relative low loss of coverage.
In other words... we're going to have...
More Open Terrain Sooner And With Better Quality.
Bad Weather can happen at any Ski Resort, we all understand that.
What is vitally important if you’ve travelled here from far away
on a Ski Holiday you booked 6 months ago, is that in our opinion
not only does Tremblant suffer comparatively less due to it’s
more Northerly Latitude, but the quickness of restoration is virtually
immediate with blazingly fast daily expansion of finely recovered
slopes.

The Majority of Open, Groomed, Alpine Snow Sport Surfaces are fine...
However....
We are returning to Winter, Consistent Sub-Zero Temp's....
So, There May Be Ice Patches and Icy Substrates of Dynamic shape and
Unspecified Location that need to be navigated with extreme
CAUTION.
Daily Weather and Traffic patterns can alter the size and frequency
with which these Icy sectors are encountered.
MAKE INITIAL EXPLORATIONS AT REDUCED SPEED TO DETERMINE
SAFE PASSAGE.
Allow DOUBLE WIDE EXTRA PASSING SPACE.
