Tremblant Summit Snow Gun Deployment, Pre-Season 2012

Post by T360 »

The Next Step In The Path Toward...

Official Tremblant Scheduled Winter 2012/13
Opening Day...

We'll Be Skiing!!! We'll Be Boarding!!!
IN ONE MONTH FROM NOW!

First, we had a little Summit natural snow preview last week.

Now we can see Tremblant Mountain Crews preparing
in a serious fashion for the up-coming Winter Alpine
Seasons Opening day....

We Love Those Web Cams!

...and as whacky as it may seem, we love to take
multiple's, then informally stitch them together the
way we did here, or in last week's "Proof of Snow",
to form a composite of wide angles and scope which
renders a "Big Picture" view.

Serious Tremblant fans can get loads of information all year 'round
and from anywhere on Planet Earth by simply dialling in to Tremblant's
wonderful on-line Web Cams.

Interest runs at a very high level prior to the start of each winter
season though, and we're no different so we're totally excited to see
this next phase of logistical organization/preparation by Mountain Crews
who are getting out the Snow Guns for strategic placement now.

As Crews have time, the guns will be moved into place, then hooked up
to test for adequate flow volume so that when the temps are right, presto,
Snow!

Typically, we may see a day or two of test firing during/after the first
really cold, sub-zero nights to confirm working order, but those early or test
locations may not be visible from the Summit Web Cam. We'll keep our
eyes peeled for future deployments or signs of testing, and we'll try to
include them here if possible, but....

No matter if we see 'em or not, you know Tremblant's skilled Mountain
Operations group are ready to leap into action when Mother Nature sends
them her signals and thank goodness, those are just around the corner!
