Considering The Weather Forecast,
You May Want To Make A Speedy Arrival
Before The Big Storm...
Weather Notes:
If you look at the precipitation icons for 12/23(Fri.), in yesterday’s
weather data and compare them to today, you will understand
why we label this document with “Evolving” and a really big “if...”.
Thankfully, in this case, the models are evolving favourably
towards snowfall instead of big rain. This is a great sign and
in the direction we forecast to begin with for cooler Mountain
elevations. At this stage it appears as though the odd’s for
big snow at Tremblant are steadily improving.
The unfortunate part of consequent attachment is that the
driving to and from the Mountain, indeed, anywhere East
of the Mississippi River/Chicago/Winnipeg/The Great Lakes
Basin/Texas, the Eastern half of the North American Continent,
et al, may be downright dangerous because the wind speed/gusts
are up to 100KMPH/66MPH, and that makes blizzard-like, and/or
monsoon-like hazardous transit conditions not just likely, almost
for sure. More on that to follow.

Conditions Notes:
For Today, Fabulous, Fun, Fast.
Practically speaking, temps up over the trail network have been
24 hour sub-zero C for roughly a week. That alone is a huge
asset for a progressively refined groomed base, but when you
add in the close to 30cm’s of natural snow that arrived a couple
of days ago, you’ve got a blended product now that has a very
high ratio of compacted natural snow in the base. The resultant
silky smooth feel underfoot as you ski or board should be universal
across the entire Mountain footprint and across all rated skill levels.
