If you search these Forums for “Le Tunnel” you’ll find
dozens of posts relating to its significance as the epitome
of Grooming refinement at Tremblant, despite its small size.

Weather Notes:
Wow... talk about “Close To The Line...”, we don’t think
you could get much closer to Zero C over any extended
period of time than this 14 day long range outlook shows.
All we need now is Mother Natures typical -4 C elevation
differential for for consistently sub-zero’s up over the
trail network and what we have here is the prospect
of an extraordinarily fine and easy middle-March of
a fantastic extension of winter-like characteristics.
The steady well below zero’s of the all the overnights
is 100% functional coverage insurance.

What “The Weather Network” Spring forecast does not specify
is the type of precipitation, it only refers to the amount.
What the early UKMO forecast did specify was the snowfall
anomaly at a high intensity. As it all formed up in our
consensus-based approach to the big snow forecast we
wrote back last October, we think we got this one right.

Conditions Notes:
In the Groomed array...
Fabulous Early Spring-style skiing, however oscillating temp’s
across the Zero C mark from yesterday’s +7 C to this morning
at -6C, require fresh, sharp edges for optimized safety and
performance.
The default is Groomed Smooth, so all you need is mechanical
advantage for best results.
In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed...
Very unique and individualistic conditions with decidedly
crusty overtones. Moguls that may have been soft and
easy to push through yesterday afternoon may now be
solid launching ramps. Caution with speed and very
wide turning margins(especially in tree zones), for
all initial explorations is fully warranted. Edge-grip
forgiveness may be on the low end of the scale. Experts
only please.
