If you can Make it out this week, you should be rewarded with some
most remarkable Alpine Ski/Board Sport Surfaces.

We think tomorrow’s/this week’s, SKI/BOARD Conditions are going to be exceptional!!!

Go Wild With Mild!

A Bit of Low Cloud Below the Summit early this morning should

These are the kind of days when you can set a radical edge angle
for some of the most athletic carving possible as the ever-so-slightly
softness of the top layers with recent Fresh Snow will have sufficient
grip to support over 1G of Lateral Force... if you have the Muscle to do it.

Beginners on Green, Easy Open Terrain should find an almost perfect
combination of both slip and traction to work on those basic elements
of control. Most notably the “SnowPlough” manoeuvre, the wedge, pie
shape that is one of the fundamental tools of braking, speed and directional
input, should not need any extreme exertion to execute, so Muscles that
may be new to the sport won’t be over-taxed.

Early morning may reveal the odd slick or icy bit that may evolve on some
steeper pitches or crests as the daytime temps rise from the overnight low
of -7C to the forecasted high of Zero C, just after lunch. However... due to
the fact that there has not been a Gross Temp rise above Zero since last Wed’s
Snowfall, surfaces supported by Cooler temps at Mountain Elevations, plus daily
Grooming cycles, can be expected to maintain consistency.

The good part is that immediate future Conditions appear forecasted
to be the same for the next several days.

The Pre-Christmas time period is typically light traffic as those people
that celebrate Christmas are fully engaged with the Seasons Organization,
Festivities, Activities, Family Travel, etc., that often keep them off the Mountain.

As a result, if you happen to be one of those rare people that are completely
and totally organized, you can have the quiet enjoyment of the very fine slopes
at Tremblant this week virtually all to yourself.

Snowmaking and New Terrain Development:

As an example, yesterday we reported on the Snowmaking off the Expo
Summit Sector on Sissy Schuss and we stated:

“...it is also the “Key” to the development of the La Griffe
sector which is a huge local favourite.”

La Griffe does indeed have Snowmaking Icons on the archived Official Data,
so there will be a lot of smiling faces about that.

We think, by the time it’s all filled in, there’s a reasonable, but not certain,
possibility that could be on-line next weekend???

Factors that could potentially support that projection include:

- 3 stable overnight Sub-Zero Temps for Snowmaking now(Sat, Sun, Mon.)
- Natural New Snowfall Forecast, up to 15 CM between Tues.-> Thurs.
- 3 more stable overnight Sub-Zeros for more Snowmaking/Grooming Thurs., Fri, Sat.

Be sure to review the Snowmaking Icons in the Mountain Data below.

Of course, Mother Nature may have plans She is not sharing with us,
so any of those factors could be More, or Less than anticipated, changing
outcomes either way.

As Regional Temps Hover around and above Zero,
Thank Goodness for “North”, as in Latitude, as up at
Cooler Mountain Elevations here at Tremblant,
temp’s are on the right, “Winter” side, just below Zero.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
