This is the kind of “Bubble” you will find yourself in for a lot
of your time on the slopes at Tremblant right now. No doubt,
at the Summit, or at the Base Lift Levels, there are congregations
as Skiers and Boarders organize in Q’s to either ride up or descend,
but there is an overall sense in those situations that the current
health measures need to be respected, so despite growing concern
for Covid-19 issues within public and regulatory domains, Outdoor
Skiing is so-far, one continuing example of safely controlled recreation.
It would be far less than objective to ignore the continuous stream
of media coverage going on right now regarding potential regulatory
restrictions in what are considered or defined as “Non-Essential” activity.
Therefore, we have to acknowledge that there is significant speculation
regarding the escalating influence that public safety and concern for the
Health Care Delivery System could have in either the immediate or longer
term future of government regulatory policy.
As this is a “Ski Conditions” diary, it is outside our purview to record
much of what is in the general news, and Historians will be able to frame
almost endless anecdotal and scientific references for this time period,
however because Covid-19 has had such a profound effect on the
ability to go Skiing anywhere on Planet Earth, it could certainly be
argued that such an influential situation should have a meaningful
entry of mention in any complete Journal du Jour. To that end, and
for overall context, a current “Google” search(#) for “Covid-19 Health
Issues” right now produced "about 1,770,000,000 results in .65 seconds.”
Wow... That’s 1.77 BILLION individual item records for 1 topic.
Weather Notes:
Conditions Notes:
Clinically speaking, within the Groomed categories, we think you
should find a spread between “Very Fine” to “Excellent” today that
is relative to the overall accumulations within this seasons development.
Despite the close proximity of daily temp ranges to Zero C/32F, they have
amazingly stayed on the right side of cool. From a technical standpoint,
that’s all you need to keep the quality in the surfaces, especially considering
the incremental refinements that have been possible with ongoing
snowmaking, natural snowfall and nightly grooming cycles.
In the Sous Bois, Hors Piste, Un-Groomed categories, there are
more individual a la Carte scenarios. There are wider ranges of
conditions quality that are dependant on natural snowfall in
some cases, and because it’s still early in the season, care is
required in all explorations for hazard avoidance.

A scan of these Forums for similar dates in the archived history record
will show that we have frequently included random Web Cam observations
for the Holiday period to give future readers insights into weather and
traffic conditions. Do not assume that it will always be busy because that
is not always true. There are many examples, like this one today, that show
relatively light traffic.

they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
