55(*) Open Trails on all 4 Open Sectors at #Tremblant .

58(*) REVISED Open Trails

----------------------------------------------------

Generally speaking, this would normally be the first day of what we
might refer to as the “Regular Season”, i.e., the first day after the
finish of the Christmas/New Years Holiday period. What was and
still is different to degrees not universally defined, is the effect of
Covid-19 pandemic changes to school closures, regional and
international travel restrictions, Mountain Operations Public Use
Policy, to name some of the possible examples of influential
circumstances that could affect attendance.

The net result is a higher probability of exceptionally fine conditions
durability in daily groomed trail quality just because there is not
likely to be as much traffic stress over the square area of open terrain.

The situation today is obviously different than yesterday with the
initial open hour reduction in available trails at 55, compared to
68 and there could be many legitimate contributing factors for that,
including, but not limited to, weather and maintenance. We say
“weather and maintenance” in that specific order because Mother
Nature’s weather is the single largest factor in determining the
strategic forms of maintenance.

So then, let's look at the latest weather forecast co-factors.

Conditions Notes:

We think the reduction in open trails today is a strategic effort
to combine snowmaking with natural snowfall and grooming
for the optimization of trail quality and quantity moving forward,
and as it is snowing now, this is a very temporary situation
that should see a substantial and quick return.

We think it’s possible you will see an expansion of the Open
trail list during the course of the day, and as the snow accumulates,
overnight.

A review of the 14 day long range forecast shows dropping temp’s and
natural snowfall over 9 out of 10 days. That’s obviously great news for a
Ski Resort on a general level, but there’s quite a bit of undetermined
potential which we’re hoping may generate some significant additions
to current depths.

-------------- Insert Update ---------------------

It’s quite apparent the attendance is light for what would typically
be the relatively busy morning upload phase of the day.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
