Tremblant Is...

Absolutely Beautiful.

Additionally, the pic above is a typical trail-side “Crowd Scene”, so basically
out on the trails, there are no crowds, and most of the time you have the visible
space before you all to yourself.

That will be even more apparent with today being a weekday.

Conditions Notes:

The pic. below says a lot about the weekend conditions in that
the foreground trail descent to the Resort base is clearly showing
a low traffic density and the lines at the base are relatively light
considering the Pandemic protocols for spacing are being rigorously
maintained. The part that we’re most interested in is the low density
on the trails. That is one of the main ingredients in all-day durable
groomed surface quality. When you combine that low trail traffic with
many, many daily grooming cycles within a sustained Sub-Zero C
ambient temperature range that has gone on for weeks without any
thermal intrusions at all, you get this magnificent mantle of excellence
covering the entire array of groomed trail inventory.

During the weekdays, i.e., today and on to Friday, the difference will be,
comparatively speaking, almost zero people/lines at lifts, while the trails
continue on at fully optimized with the very same beautiful conditions.

We call this sustained, sequential, uninterrupted, and repeatedly refined
period of days/weeks “Pure Winter”, and it is one of the most wonderful
combinations of conditions that any Skier or Snowboarder can ever have.
The reliability, the consistency, the seamlessness of the Groomed expanses
are every bit as joyful for the Tremblant Front-Side performance carving
experience as 3 feet of new snow would be for the Powder Hounds of Whistler.

Of course(a)... it’s “Different”, but the fact remains that from a practical standpoint
the average Skier is going to have way more fun with the vast expanses of smooth,
immaculately groomed trail descents than they ever could in 3 feet of fresh snow.
This is because the average Skier does not have the skills or muscle necessary to safely
navigate 3 feet of fresh snow, not to mention the fact that it gets tracked up so quickly
the “Fresh” part only lasts for a few hours. Here at Tremblant, groomed Pure Winter
Freshness reliably happens every day for months.

The huge benefit here is the range of skill levels from Beginners to Experts that
can all derive rewarding challenge and/or easy learning progress, simultaneously.
For Experts the challenge may be steepness or speed, for Beginners the challenge is
building control and confidence, but on a foundation as large as the Groomed Alpine
Trail Network at Tremblant, there is literally something for everyone, all day, every day.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has changed virtually every form of human communal utility,
so it is no surprise that there could be the odd lift-line wait, however what has remained,
even at any historical level of comparison, is the rock-steady commitment of Tremblant
Mountain Op’s to faithfully produce these remarkably fine levels of groomed trail quality
without interruption. We see that as an extraordinary gift for those lucky enough to be here
now, as well as a promise for all those who choose Tremblant in the future.

Of course(b)... A lot of the Expert challenge is in the Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste
and Un-Groomed categories. In this group the conditions are a bit more a la Carte’
in the sense that they are mostly unsupported by either snowmaking and/or grooming,
so they can be variably dependant on either natural snowfall accumulations or traffic
volume, or both. Consequently, the resulting effects can be very individualistic within the
various open Sous Bois sectors. Caution in initial explorations is still therefore prudent.
That being said, there is obvious improvement with the most recent snowfall, and one
of the best examples of accumulation zones is in the Lowell Thomas Sector where there
has been so much new snow that it has facilitated the grooming of Marie-Claude Asselin
and Banzai, so you know the surrounding Sous Bois is going to be excellent.

On top of all that, it’s snowing, again...

Please Note Below: We have a first hand Fan report that Cossak, the
only closed trail shown, was re-opened and found to be smooth
with some “Chunky Bits” at about 9:40 A.M.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
