A Most Interesting Sunny, Early Spring Day!

You will need to get into the detail below of the unusual localized weather
that is literally hovering over the Mountain in order to understand
the potential complexities of todays conditions. As amateur Geographer’s
and Weather Bugs, this has got to be one of the most interesting and intriguing
mixes of early Spring weather we’ve maybe ever seen?

Now... For the “Interesting” bit...

10 Day Tremblant Summit Weather Forecast Models:

In todays case, there is a very big difference between
the forecast model(graphic) and the actual, annotated in
the title block below(excerpt included in Doc. above).

We are re-running this because of its applicability to the overall time period.

Conditions Notes:

The vast majority of the Open Groomed trail inventory still has excellent
full winter coverage over a still very firm winter base and it also has the
Tremblant hallmark of default smoothness that makes whatever
Soup du jour Mother Nature cooks up at the surface, way way easier.

No doubt, as the temp spikes up to the forecast +12C, surfaces will all
become different, but from First Tracks to Last Run, there are very sweet
zones that vary with sun/shade/traffic/no traffic, and a big part of the
fun today is safe explorations to find what works best for you.

-------------- Mid-Morning Field Report Insert Update: ----------------

A bit more of “unusual"... It’s a lot warmer on Nord/North than Sud/South.

The firmest morning trails are on Versant Sud/South and Soleil
and the softest morning trails on Versant Nord/North.

That’s just about the opposite of what we might normally expect...

At approximately 11:00 A.M., portions of Sud/South and Soleil Sectors are finally
warming up to soft status. There are some very sweet combinations of soft and fast
and Trail # 7, Alpine is only one current, specific, example of great performance in
the days evolving conditions.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
