T360 Late Night Apres Ski Edit,
Under Construct At 11:39 P.M.

------- End-Of-Day Archival Update -----------------

REVISED Open Trails To 32(*)

Archival Data Attached Below.

and is included here for accuracy of daily records.

---------------------------------------------------

Today was an off-Mountain logistics day for us, so we are not aware
of the detail on this Open trail reduction. We will make every attempt
find out out as much as we can tomorrow, however, when there is
a dramatic temp drop from a warm rainy day to a super-cool, way
below zero C day, open trail reductions are typically either Ski Patrol
trail safety, or Mountain Op’s trail preservation. Both of these reasons
are legitimate causes for temporary reductions, so we think the Open
numbers will climb back up very soon, if not to start tomorrow, during
the day?

Tomorrow starts out well below zero C again with an overnight low at
-9 C but rising to +9 C by noon??? Wow, that’s quite a spread and the
conditions will see an equally dramatic difference to equal that. Another
morning where sharp edges will be essential, and by after lunch, edges
may not matter at all if it gets as soft as the temp potential indicates.

The firmest conditions will probably have the longest endurance on the
upper Versant Nord/North sector, but our best hopes are for retained
speed everywhere as the warmth becomes dominant.

Just What The Doctor Ordered...

A Very Definitive “Winter” Re-Boot,
With Summit Temps At -11 C,
And A Wonderful “Howler” Wind!

The wind is an immensely important element in the re-set because it has the
capacity to induce “Cool” back into the substrates more quickly. This “Cool”
should enhance or reenforce the stored refrigerant properties of the base
strata which, in our opinion may be one of the best assets for retaining
groomed trail quality for these last 3 weeks of the Official season.

Weather Notes:

Cool and windy to begin with, and we love every minute of it!

Conditions Notes:

The current Elevation Differential is showing at -7 C Cooler at the Summit
which is an excellent spread for potentially keeping very winter-like conditions
all day. Groomed surfaces should be fabulous considering all the recent weather,
but there will be some icy bits or flow-zones. You will absolutely need very sharp
edges for safe, best results. Period.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
