5(*) Open Trails on Sud/South and Nord/North, Upper Sectors at #Tremblant.

Fresh Corduroy For A Fresh Season!

And the good news started right away because in less
than 4 or so hours from first tracks on P’tit Bonheur,
the open terrain more than doubled with the opening of
Versant Sud/South Side Beauvallon/Alpine, down to
the TGV Base.

First Tracks For A Lifetime Of Fun.

Responsible parents realize the value of involving their kids
in athletics/sports from a very early age and we respectfully
submit that skiing offers a unique opportunity that can not
be easily matched by any other sport due to the thrills and
appeal of fun, safe speed you just can’t find with any other
pursuit.

Consequently, the impressions made on any Kid’s first days on
skis are critical to developing a sense of fun and accomplishment
in those young minds that simply put, will automatically make
them want to come back for more.

Quickly building the desire to be on the snow with a rewarding
learning experience is the specialty of the Tremblant ski school system.

We also want to remind parents that getting your kids
involved with skiing does not have to be expensive. With
all the various on-line trading platforms, very high quality,
durable used gear is available in abundance and we have
outfitted literally generations of youngsters from the age
of 2 and up with no trouble at all.

Opening Sequence Terrain-Wise:

If you look back at every single “Opening Day” in this record,
you will find that they all have one thing in common... The One...
The Only... Quite possibly one of the finest multi-purpose,
super-reliable, multi-skill level trails on Planet Earth,
Versant Nord/North Side Trail #72, P’tit Bonheur.

You Can Depend On It.

This is one of the most significant “Go To” trails in all of
Eastern North America. Period.

When the startup conditions are a challenge for any reason,
P’tit Bonheur is the benchmark of instant seasonal quality.
Tremblant would not be the same without it, the quality
of your Ski/Board day would not be the same without it.

Any day of Ski/Board experience here will be better for it,
so thank goodness it’s always the very first trail for the very
first tracks of seasons past, present and future.

Weather Notes:

All we can do is hope that the higher, cooler, upper level
Mountain elevations are just enough of the “cooler” part,
to make snow... Keeping fingers crossed...

Conditions Notes:

With such a comparatively small surface area open, the focus
on surface grooming preparation should yield close to immaculate
first tracks. The ongoing quality today beyond first tracks will be
dependant on traffic patterns, snowfall, any other type of “precipitation”
and if wetness is present, saturation rates. We go through this every
fall because it is fall, and with a bit over 3 weeks until the official
start of winter, it’s still not uncommon to have cycles of warmth
even though the earth is tilting on its axis towards the maximum
degree away from the sun for the Northern Hemisphere.

Once the temps get sub-zero C around the clock for any daily cycle,
you can then count on grooming to render out smooth, velvet-like
carve-able loose top layers that should be very fast with very high
levels of edge-set ability.

As usual for this time period as well, with a smaller open square area,
it must be shared with all skill levels, but across primarily “Green” and
“Blue” trails, so it is vitally necessary for safety that Experts and
Intermediates use caution with speed around Beginners.

ASLO... Very Important... This is the time when the open trail list
can change during the day. Check With Tremblant Info. Ski Crews For Updates!

Bottom line(s)... Be thankful to be able to Ski/Board, and as always,
when temps float around the Zero C mark, up and down, you need
to bring sharp, well tuned edges for the “down” bit that can quickly
re-solidify any warmed soft surfaces and generate “firm” or icy bits.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
