Here is a Zoom-In to the F.I.S. World Cup Freestyle Mogul Competition Course.

This event is being internationally Television broadcasted, and
in Canada is being carried by the CBC, Canada’s national
T.V. Network.

Meanwhile, out on the trails, the Tremblant signature scenery is
post card beautiful. No camera could ever capture the scope of
what the eye beholds. Around virtually every corner, the scenes
change, and with each new view the beauty hits you with another
impression of its unique, natural, magnificence.

Conditions Notes:

In the groomed category, from a technical point, the skiing
will be very fine to excellent on day-3 after the last big snowfall.
Mountain Crews have been able to make a third pass over the
very light and dry fresh snow, so there is a well compressed
mechanical bond within the crystalline structure of the trail
surfaces that has good natural speed and holds very aggressive
edge-set angles easily.

A Mini One Pic. Trail Case Study Example Of Grooming Refinement.

This pic. below is at last run on Versant Nord/North Side
Trail # 72, P’tit Bonheur, and despite the long, dark shadows
of the setting sun over the Summit behind this scene, not to
mention the airborne snow crystal filters, you can very clearly
see both the edge-set engagement this skier has, as well as
other carved ski tracks in the background. P’tit Bonheur had
moguls on it from too much soft snow the day before, so the
second grooming pass made a huge and very, very positive
difference as it is now an immaculately smooth, all-day
durable, super fast, super easy, super beautiful multi-skill level joy.(#)
It was quite close to flawless without so much as a single speck
of icy anywhere we could find on multiple laps. For that reason
we gave it our unofficial “Trail du Jour” award for its dramatic
overnight elevation in quality. It should be even better today,
and there are many, many other similar refinements within the
groomed trail network.

(#) It should be noted that P’tit Bonheur is typically
"an immaculately smooth, all-day durable, super fast,
super easy, super beautiful multi-skill level joy”, and
that the Trail du Jour award is not due to any exception
other than that, but as a reminder of the quick return to
its normal status of excellence after an individual weather
event that generated temporary challenge yesterday.

The trail category that has derived the most benefit
from the recent snow has been the Sous Bois/Hors Piste
and Un-Groomed. Below is a shot of Versant Nord/North Side
trail # 65, Banzai Bas/Lower. This is a local/regional Tremblant
Fan favourite and in the early part of the season it remains
un-groomed. The snowpack is building very nicely here
and the natural land contours are obviously filling in.
This is typical of all the surrounding terrain.

Conditions Caveat:

This is legitimate “Bundle Up” territory. Be very, very careful
with little children who may not be able to communicate
discomfort effectively when it comes to sensitivities in
individual little fingers and toes. If you are not absolutely
certain about safety, keep ‘em inside until you are.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
