T360 Late Night Apres Ski Edit @ 11:37 P.M.

The good news is that even though it was a
photo-challenged snow foggy day, it is our
opinion that today was one of the top 5,
front-side carving performance days, and a
great day for learning too.

The snowfall continued all day long with
some circulating, variable intensities.

We are giving the Trail du Jour award to Versant Nord,
North Side trail # 73, La Traverse because it was one of
the few days where it could be found without so much
as a hint of icy. We carved its entire descent from wall
to wall, top to bottom. It was just one of many examples
of very high quality, but even as short as it is, it had a
unique smoothness that we think was exceptional within
the days experience.

The current hourly forecast for tomorrow
shows a high of -7 C with variable overcast
and some sunny periods. With tonights grooming
shift, it could have elevated quality potential
from todays already very fine standard.

Any experienced Skier is going to be able to instantly imagine
the sheer delight in any respective skill level or style that can
be had over the vast expanses of groomed terrain that are
exactly the same as you see above, wherever you go at Tremblant.

This particular shot is of Duncan Bas/Lower, but you could
switch the trail name, alter the perception of pitch angle
in your minds eye either steeper or more gentle, and call
it any groomed trail on the list provided below.

It is not an “extreme” action shot, it is just an extremely
beautiful concept of “Average Is Excellent” for a super
user-friendly early January day within a lightly attended
work-weekday that has every promise of being a fantastic
treasure, a snippet of Ski Heaven, that will reach +27 C WARMER
than we started with yesterday!

Scaled up to the wide-angle, full vertical scope of the
whole Mountain, this is the picture you need to keep
in mind as your destination concept.

This is why you choose Tremblant.
Genuine, Authentic, Snow White Winter.

Weather Notes:

Forecast daytime high of -5C, with snowfall spanning
all open hours(#)... Easy!!!

Yipeee!

(#)Please note that while the hourly forecast
indicates snowfall starting at around the noon
hour, at 7:25 A.M. it is already snowing at a light
but steady rate at the Sud/South Resort Base Level
and the degree of overcast gives us the impression
that it will probably continue on exactly as it is.

Conditions Notes:

All the co-factors added up lead us to the conclusion
that it could be an all-round superlative day for all
skill levels, across all categories of both Groomed
and Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Un-Groomed.

Lets look at the facts...

- Just coming out of a super-chill cold-snap,
so the snow has received a Mother Nature
cryogenic freeze-dry treatment that will
render it very dry, and very fast.

- Easy surface conditions for all Skill Levels.
What makes it great for Experts, also applies
to Beginners, low friction, high traction.

- The peak temp today is going to be some
27C warmer than what we started with yesterday.

- More new natural snowfall, looking like all day
at this stage.

- All Lifts Open.

- A Mid-work-week day of light traffic volume.

- A New high number of Open Trails for the
season at 80(*).

Odd’s are, it’s going to be an excellent day.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
