In terms of current Automotive Race Technologies...

This could certainly be considered a “Classic” scene of
premium equipment in a great contest of rival Super Cars.

For Motorsport enthusiasts, the sounds of the scene above are like music
as these finely tuned exotic Super Cars accelerate down the front stretch
at Le Circuit on a beautiful, pleasantly cool, very sunny early fall day.

The Nissan sponsored Micra Cup was a weekend feature and it’s another
"Thumbs Up” season for one of the most popular, affordable, One Class
race series around.(There are more Nissan Micra Cup photo’s in our

There’s no shortage of Automotive History at Le Circuit and some of the
most common vehicles of Historic significance are the Ford Mustangs as
adapted to racing by Shelby.

Radical Spec Race Cars:

Radical is a manufacturer of Race cars for serious enthusiasts who
look for very high performance with a value budget, at least compared
to Pro Race gear that at this level could be several times the cost.

This makes Radical cars an outstanding, excellent value for those lucky
enough to justify the resources for a dedicated race car platform.
They are very commonly seen here at Le Circuit and are always
fun to watch.

Local Racetracks such as Le Circuit support entry level Open Wheel “Formula”
cars and aspiring “Grand Prix” drivers can be found here with several different
classes of these single seat vehicles.

If there’s one thing that seems evident from the pic’s so far, it’s the variety
of the entrants that encompass the depth and range of not only forms of race cars,
but their history as well.

Here’s an interesting comparison of form and history within one “Brand”
that is widely recognizable and spans about 50 years...

There’s always a sense of “history” at Le Circuit that makes racings relevance
to what we drive today, and how much vehicles have improved in safety
and efficiency.

In this case, we feel it’s fair to point out that the racing success of the Mini in the
“Before” picture is partially responsible for the popularity and mass production
of an entire type of small, front wheel drive, economy vehicle that revolutionized
the entire global car industry decades ago. This has undoubtably saved the planet
from the use of far greater amounts of fossil fuels due to the efficiency of this
compact, lightweight platform that only needs a very small engine.

Speaking of “Fuel Efficient” “Green” vehicles...

The popularity of the original Mini as a design led to the introduction of
this world-wide small car success story...

VW Golf, Mk I, also known in North America as the Rabbit.

Cars like these shifted global consumers purchasing towards smaller
more fuel efficient cars that continues to this day.

( Editors Note of Historic Perspective: It’s no small irony that as we write this
now, that VW is undergoing a huge devaluation in public opinion in 2015 due
to fraudulent emissions test rigging that involves millions of their Diesel
powered vehicles. At this stage, their gasoline powered vehicles are not
under question.)
