The Official Tremblant Website “Winter” page
has been published much to the relief of Ski
and Snowboard Fans who have anxiously been
waiting for detail about the upcoming Alpine
Snow Sports season that is now confirming
a scheduled start on November 20th, 2020.

For those who are long-term, established, multi-season Tremblant
Ski/Board fans, this is a big deal because it signifies the confident
intent to proceed with the winter season opening, even under the
challenges of a Global Pandemic. It is also very clearly understood
that these privileges should not be taken for granted, and there
are conditions that will need to be met for ongoing participation.

We are including the Official introductory notes for
archival reference due to the extraordinary circumstances
surrounding operations under Global pandemic conditions.

In compliance with both Governmental and
Industry Regulatory Standards of Covid-19
safe practice, there are specifications for
participation that allow for any changes in
community spread.

This is a graphic display of the stages of Covid-19
in relation to the conduct of Quebec Ski Areas
as published by the assq.qc.ca:

A Short Summary Editorial:

If there is a caveat, in a Pre-vaccine Covid-19
environment, the range of human experience so far
shows that schedules at any level of engagement
are dependant on sustained safe practice of social
behavioural protocols that yield the lowest possible
levels of infection and spread. These variabilities are
shown for the conduct of Alpine Snow Sports at Quebec
Ski Areas in the graphic illustration above.

We use expressions within language to try to
capture emotions or meanings about expected or
anticipated activity that may be common in concept
and/or understanding, such as “Don’t count your
chickens before they hatch”, or “Don’t cross your
bridges until you get to them”. In the middle of a
Global pandemic, these expressions now carry an
inherent proviso that we should not automatically
assume any level of outcome when we still have
serious background factors with the virus that are
not clearly predictable, in-so-far-as society’s overall
ability to adhere to safe behaviour.

From that standpoint, we all still have a part to
play in getting to Ski Season by not only keeping
ourselves safe and healthy, but equally important,
by actively promoting responsible conduct within our
own spheres of influence as a community so we can
collectively achieve the threshold of low statistical
incidence that generate the “Permissions” we need
to move forward.

Science tells us what we need to do, part of the
challenge is to have the fortitude and discipline to
keep up all the efforts as the situation evolves.
The final expressions that may be applicable could
be “Water under the bridge”, where we acknowledge
there is another month “To go with the flow."

We can have a Ski Season if we all set a good example,
and demand likewise from all those we know.
