Duncan is one of the principle North Side top to bottom runs.
A detachable high speed quad chairlift, also named Duncan,
runs almost directly over its path from base to summit.

((*)Please Note: In the Winter of 2014/2015, Duncan received a very simple
and very brilliant, modification. The Upper Summit Level Pitch was widened
into Saute Mutons, on the right side, descending, to allow a much wider
traverse below the Summit crest. Annotated Pic. Attached Below.)

Trail # 59, Duncan Haut, Upper is differentiated from
the lower portion of Duncan and originates at the Summit
and ends at the intersection of Vanier, Trail #60, where it
has descended from the top of the Expo sector. As you descend on
Duncan this intersection with Vanier is on the left.

This photo below is taken from the top off-load zone
of the Expo Quad Chairlift, looking up to the Summit
of Tremblant's North Side. Duncan is the main groomed
trail descending below and to the immediate right of the
Duncan Quad Chairlift.

Other trails shown above are:

#62, Saute-Moutons, upper, to the immediate left of Duncan,
a mogul sector running right under the Duncan Chair.
# 64 Marie-Claude Asselin, "MCA", runs parallel to Upper Duncan
to the right(separated by bush), and to the right of that again,
#65 Banzai. These two narrow, parallel trails are both former
Surface Lift Lines which have been converted to Alpine trails.

As previously stated, the defining point of Duncan Upper, Lower
is Trail #60, Vanier which descends from the top of the Expo sector.
Vanier can be seen in the shot above as an almost horizontal line
running just below the Duncan Quad as it crests over the farthest
point visible in this image. This shot also gives you a good idea
of the shallow "S" shape of Duncan as it runs under the Lift.

Above:
This modification to Duncan is a “Light Bulb” Simple and Brilliant change
which makes this portion far more User-Friendly because the additional
traverse width vastly reduces the concentrated wear factors on the steepest
part of the descent below the crest. Experience shows that Iciness and Moguls
are much less likely to occur now. When groomed, we feel that Confident
Intermediates with practiced braking skills, can use this slope far more easily
to access the great terrain below.

Above:
This is a shot from the Duncan Quad that shows Grooming on the new Duncan
width. The new dimension here is scale referenced by the width of the Grooming
Machine itself and you can clearly see the much wider expanse for traversing
between turns. At roughly the point where the Machine is at, the width there
is close to double the former.

This is a major up-grade to this zones utility for all Ski/Board traffic here,
and there has been a marked improvement in the ways of less iciness
and more mogul resistant, all day smoothness.
