T360 Apres Ski @ 6:30 P.M.
Glorious, Glorious Tremblant February Winter Day.
First… The “Big Picture”, from across Lac Tremblant…
On Johannsen… Ronald McDonald Corporate Invitational Charity Race
supporting National Ronald McDonald House Trust. Last year, this event
raised $160,000.00 and Quebec City, Montreal Local Homes, got $10,000 each.
If you look closely at the Archival Copy Official Trail Data for Today,
you’ll see there’s actually only one closed run, Vertige, Summit Sector,
Sud, South.
It’s the one on the right in this telephoto taken from same spot as pic above.
While these two very steep runs have their fans, those fan numbers are small
compared to main-stream terrain, so it’s not super critical.
For all the rest of Tremblant, everything we saw, and certainly everything
we Skied was as Smooth as Silk and very fast with no icy or slippery bits
encountered in all our travels.
Taking a Moment to savour the Moment…
A friend from Long Island New York makes a brief pause
to look at the far distant vista’s Tremblant is known for.
It’s not long though, before the Call of the Snow Beckons and the
pause for the View becomes the need for speed…
In the Mean-Time, Boarders get ready to hit the Slopes and in
the background, the Tremblant Flag certainly does indicate
there are indeed some “Breezes” out there.
All in All a very easy winter day with an amazing amount of
glitch free terrain and almost effortless Glide and Edge Control.
Below: To Complete the Array of today’s Apres Ski Pic’s is one taken
from the Summit Grand Manitou South Facing Deck. Just over what
appears to be a small Island in the South end Bay of Lac Tremblant,
is the Government Dock where the very top pic’ was taken from.
About a 4 hour spread between the two.
