Ferrari Festival at Le Circuit du Mont Tremblant.
For passionate Ferrari Motorsport's Fans, there’s no such thing
as dampened spirits even if there’s a wee bit of “Humidity” in the air...
A very impressive Grid formation for the North American Ferrari Challenge Series.
Cars and their Crews from all over North America gathered at Le Circuit
and while Fridays practice day held sunny conditions, by race day Saturday
the overcast sky’s were making things a bit damp, although the drizzle
never became more than anything light.
The first few laps cleared off most of the sitting moisture and it was
quite apparent that there was an almost dry line around the track
where the natural flow of traffic was enough to prevent any accumulation
from forming.
Once the race got under way, there was plenty of close action, particularly
with such a large number of entrants.
We’re happy to report that eventually it was a local Montreal driver
that won this race and not only that, but by a quite large margin
of almost half a minute.
The enthusiasm of the locals was very apparent and the feedback from all
the participants seemed to be unanimously positive.
Racing is only one aspect of the Ferrari Festival and we’ll have expanded coverage
on that later, but here’s a sample of some of the display vehicles that in this pic.
include historic Sports Car, Formula 1, and the brand new “La Ferrari” Super-Car.
We’ve been attending these events for years and this may be the first time
we’ve had the damp weather, but that did not seem to effect either the
turnout or the action, so still a very fine Ferrari specific event!
Topic under construction, additional text and photo’s to follow.
