This is your opportunity to Ski Versant Sud, South Side “Ryan” Bas, Lower,
in as close to February 1939, Tremblant Resort Opening Conditions as possible.

It Is An Appropriate Double Black Diamond Skill Level Rating in Un-Groomed Condition.

It Is Perfectly Imperfect, Exactly Enough To Take You Back 78 Years In Time.

And... If You Have The Skills... It’s A Better “Work-Out” Than Any Gym On The Planet!

No doubt... Skiing Ryan Bas, Lower, is a Quad/Thigh Pumping Workout That
Will Wake Up Every Fibre Of Leg Muscle You Know Of... And A Bunch You Never
Knew You Had!

We recommend that if you try Ryan Bas, set aside any ideas of time and focus
purely on the quality of your descent with patience and complete concentration
on maintaining the fundamental elements of a low, well centred, and compact
position over your Skis with a HUGE Emphasis on the ability to throw out an
instantaneous “Snow-Plow”, “Pie-Shaped” wedge position for Immediate Braking,
Turning, and Stopping.

This Is Not A Trail You Want To Rush On. This Is A “Go With The Flow” Trail that
Mother nature tells you where to turn on, when you are receptive to her rhythm,
and for “Best Results”, you’ll need to be sensitive only to the balanced equilibrium
between Cautious Speed and 100% Responsive Control Movements.

Then... As A Tribute To The Modern Tremblant Resort, Together With All Its Benefits...

Ryan Haut, Upper, Is Groomed.

It may seem as though we are presenting this “Ryan” Trail study in reverse order
as you would normally descend over its entire length from the top, but many people
do the top only, a la Carte, and what we wanted to do was to focus first on
what the totality of this Trail represents to the 1939 to 2017 “Before and After”
symbolism, highlighting the tremendous advantages of technological progress from
then to now.(**)

It is this current technology in Grooming and Snowmaking mechanics that
in-so-far-as the pure Skiing Experience, so well contrasts all the Benefits
Tremblant Guests of Winter January 2017 get to enjoy from “First Tracks” to
“Last Run”. Only a fraction of today’s attendance will Ski Ryan Bas, Lower,
but for those who do, returning to the Impeccably Fine Groomed Terrain
over the immense array of Green’s, Blue’s and Black’s at Tremblant now,
will instantly create profound appreciation for where time and technology
has brought Alpine Skiing to at this moment in history.

Conditions AT Tremblant Are Dynamite!

At Least Figuratively Speaking... Specifically, at least Lower Dynamite appears to
be part of the prepared course that also uses Lower Expo, for an upcoming NorAm
Snowboard Competition. (Expo Contour Grooming pic.attached second, below)

Excerpt From Tremblant.ca

"Association Quebec Snowboard, in collaboration with Canada Snowboard and
Station Mont Tremblant, is pleased to host a NorAM cup snowboard cross race
February 2–3 2017 at Station Mont Tremblant.

The world’s best riders will descend Mont Tremblant in early February to prepare
for April’s Sports Experts Speed Nation Nationals presented by Mazda Canada
and FA Design. Training starts on February 1, with qualification and finals on
the 2 and 3. Don’t miss out!"

We suspect that what you are looking at here
is the beginning of the course construction...

(**)Please Note: Versant Sud, South Side “Ryan” is only indicated on
the Official Trail Status as a One, Double Black, Descent Path, HOWEVER,
the Official Trail Map Shows Ryan Haut, Upper, as a Single Black, and Ryan Bas,
Lower, as the Double Back. ADDITIONALLY... there is a distinct EXIT Point for
Ryan Haut, Upper, at the “T” intersection with Ryan and Trail # 19, “Charron”,
a “Blue” Intermediate rated Trail that allows a descending Right Hand Turn
Off of Ryan Haut, Upper, to access the run outs of Kandahar, McCulloch and
Desserres, Including to the TGV High Speed Detachable Quad Base as well as
all the Great Terrain leading from those points down to the Resort Base.

Please Also Note: The Official Trail Data for Ryan As a Single Descent shows
a “Groomed” Icon, as well as a “Lower-Moguls” Icon. Up to yesterday, only
Ryan Haut, Upper was Groomed. It is Possible, but unlikely, that Ryan Bas,
Lower, was Groomed.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
