New technologies are being incorporated into the majority of the ski school programs for kids. The Flaik System is an arm-band GPS device that features data acquisition that parents can access in real time to not only locate children, but review daily activity broken down by runs taken, lifts ridden, as well as Time, Speed and Distance statistics, all of which have the potential to be useful measures of progress and experience.
This system may also be available to other individual or group Mountain users.
This year, Tremblant will be raising the level of control and efficiency of its snow making system through the addition of Telemetry functions.
Snow making system performance will be optimized by new abilities to monitor both opportunities and results, so as usual, Tremblant will continue to set the example for the best snow making possible when Nature needs a little help.
In trail news,"La Passe", one of the descents from the top of the Flying Mile chair lift, will be modified to make the slope less steep for beginners and the new Green run on Versant Soliel will be completed.
This will be the first winter of operation for the Gondola from the main base of the South side to the Casino at the foot of the Versant Soliel, so opportunities to access the slopes will be enhanced as well as Apres' Ski Fun!
All in all, we're looking forward to another Great season (our 36th) at Tremblant!
