Looking forward to the start of the week with upward escalating
overall conditions. Smoothness and top layer consistency are
increasing in scope across all Skill Levels of Groomed as the
result of each previous Night Shift.

In the Un-Groomed, Sous Bois, Hors Piste, Glade Ski/Boarding...

You Know Things Are Getting Better When Banzai and MCA Re-Open!

These 2 Versant Nord, North Side, Upper Level Trails are
Primary “Canaries In The Coal Mine”, i.e., indicators of
Sector Health that tell us much about the stability of
the entire surrounding terrain. Excellent News to have
them back on-line!

Below is a 12/15/17 file shot of the lower portion of Banzai(#65),
as seen from the traversing Cat-Track that runs laterally between
Lowell Thomas and Duncan.

This trail was Opened in the Natural Snow, Un-Groomed
condition you see it here above, and has remained on the Official
Trail Data as Un-Groomed since. The importance of this is
that this trail and all the adjacent terrain is unsupported by
snowmaking, so it Opens on the merits of purely natural
snowfall. It was closed after the thaw event of last week for
preservation, so having it come back on-line in today’s Official
Trail Status is a hugely significant sign of Sector surface stability
as assessed by the Ski Patrol.

The next phase in the annual progression of Seasonal Maturity
accumulations is when we see Banzai Groomed, and you can be
sure we will thoroughly review that occasion because this trail
is one of our all-time favourites.

Weather Notes:

We are very happy to see the improved weekend forecast
for the FIS Competition Events. Of course things could change
and change again between now an then, but it’s still a great
step in the right direction.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
