102/102(*) Open Trails on the Magnificent, Snow White Winter Trails at #Tremblant .
You Could Do This All Day At Tremblant...
If... you have the muscle.(**)
T360 Proof Of Performance.

We ran another version of the Carving Performance sample
above in last nights Apres Ski and the anticipation of another
day of this level of skill testing thrills and endurance conditioning
are truly joyful thoughts that can easily converted into reality.
All you need to do is be here. The conditions are spectacular. Period.
Of Note To Those Who Ski For The Athletic Value Of The Sport:
Speaking of Spectacular... (**)We think that a well conditioned
Front Side Carver can generate lateral turning force in these
Maxi-Shred conditions, in excess of 1G. The human eye is
suspended in its socket with attachments evolved for normal
gravitational force. When you exceed that normal force, you
can feel your eyes move sideways. This is a phenomenon well
known to people such as Military or Aerobatic Pilots, but we know
for a fact it can be experienced on the Mountain as well, and we
have had several instances of that experience, albeit for
very short timeframes, while carving tight Slalom shapes
as you see above on sufficient pitch-angle slopes. The Quad
Muscle workout over a days skiing is extraordinary.
(It should be noted that this is at very safe speeds for both
traffic and surface conditions and we specifically refer to
Slalom speeds that are substantially lower than GS, while
still making all, if not more, lateral turning energy.)
Of course... There’s great athletic potential for everyone that gets out
for these wonderful conditions. You don’t have to be extreme at all,
a good steady pace gets great results too, so the main idea is to
take advantage of all that Alpine Snow Sports offer in aerobic exercise
value for the active, healthy, human machine, especially when
conditions are this good.
For Beginners and Intermediates:
We have paid quite a bit of attention recently to a most excellent,
but very under-utilized trail, namely Versant Soleil, Trail #95, Algonquin,
which does not get nearly the credit it deserves as superb learning
terrain. Mountain Crews have been spending more time on this
beautiful descent over recent months and we enthusiastically promote
its use as a first rate addition to the other two primary Green trails
of Nansen and P’tit Bonheur as some of the very finest skills development
terrain anywhere on the East Coast of North America.
3.23.19.Versant.Soleil.Algonquin.Superb.Green.Terrain.c.jpg
Please Note: The access to Algonquin requires passage on Trail #40,
"Franc Sud” which is an access point for the entire Soleil Sector.
As a result of traffic concentrations it can develop moguls in the
centre so our recommendation for Beginners is to use the right side
descending, where there tends to be a smoother, more gradual line.
Weather Notes:
A slight thermal burp is possible today, but is not necessarily
going to affect things too much because of concurrent snowfall
forecast, not to mention the very probably elevation differential
of -4C up on the Mountain.
Conditions Notes:
Outstanding conditions across all skill levels of terrain
with a increased level of groomed surface density as
the result of Mountain Crews night-shift. Even the
Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste, and Un-Groomed are
in very good condition as the very cool night-before-last
was also accompanied by significant wind-blast that cooked
out virtually all the humidity that came with the 15-20 cm’s
of wet snow on Friday so the heaviness got freeze-dried out.

Above: You could hear the Kids “Whooping” it up throughout all
the Sous Bois zones. This sample is from the ride up the Soleil
Quad as it passes over Sous Bois Trail # 54, Les Bouleaux. We had
a ride up the Duncan quad with a regional Tremblant fan on Telemark
Skis and the feedback was positive for the new Sous Bois zone,
trail # 99, Archipel, Haut/Bas, upper/lower.

The combination of exceptional conditions with
the sustained athletic activity that they so easily
support, reward all skill levels with optimized
performance and the opportunity for great personal
development.
