This is a very big deal for Tremblant as it will
draw a Global audience of Alpine Ski Racing fans
to the broadcast televised event.

The resultant focus on Tremblant can not be
overstated in terms of elevating the awareness
within the skiing public/community, regarding the
technical merits of this Mountain as legitimate
world class terrain.

FIS World Cup Champions come from Tremblant.
Olympic Gold Medal Winners come from Tremblant.

As far as T360 is concerned, what we are very
interested in is prospect of being able to first
hand witness some of the finest technical skiing
known on Planet Earth.

Those who know us personally have heard us
say for years that Women’s GS may well be
the purest form of Alpine Skiing technique
possible, with all due respect, because the
Women’s technique employs a more balanced
blend of finesse and athletic power when
compared to the Men’s technique that may
be biased towards just raw muscle power.

In our opinion, the Women’s World Cup
GS racing is arguably the very best pure
skiing technique with transferrable elements
to high performance recreational skiing at a
genuine Expert level.

Home Grown Talent!

Lucky Us! Tremblant Ski Club sponsored Valerie Grenier who is
a rising star in World Cup women’s competitions had a career-best
finish in 4th place at the World Cup GS at Kranjaka Gora, Slovenia
in the 2021/22 season. Consistently higher and higher finishing
placements have earned her increasing respect and a promising
future both here at home and internationally.

Valerie is featured in the Official Tremblant Press Releases below.

There are qualifying conditions or “subject to” conditions
in the proposal, including that there shall be a “test event”
held on the intended course this coming March 2023.
That will take the form of a “Nor-Am”, North American
Alpine Racing Series event, and that level of regional
competition will be considered as a sufficient trial run
that will be observed by F.I.S. in order to verify both the
appropriateness of the terrain, as well as the capability
of the local organizers to effectively conduct such a
large logistical operation.

One other important detail that is not included in these
initial press releases is the name of the trail(s) that are
intended for use in this event, however, local unofficial
sources have reported that it is to be Versant Sud/South
Side “Flying Mile”, to “Johannsen”, ending at the Resort
base zone.

This would be an absolutely fantastic venue for public
viewing if these are the actual trails proposed.

--------- Oct. 24, 2022 @ 2:04 P.M. Update: -------------

We have just received an email confirmation from
our Tremblant.ca Official contact that the course
is Trail # 28, “Flying Mile”, to Trail # 29, “Johannsen”,
ending at the Resort Base, adjacent to the bottom
of the Flying Mile high speed detachable quad lift.

“This remains subject to change”, however the way
we understand it, that is largely subject to all FIS
planning, construction, safety and conduct criteria
being met through the process of the Nor-Am test
event to be held on that course in March of 2023.

Please Note: The Official Contact Information is
identical for both French and English versions and
is included at the bottom of the English version below.

We would also like to add that the infrastructure upgrades to the
course and snowmaking that are mentioned in the press releases
will ultimately benefit the skiing public at Tremblant because after
any races, the trails eventually re-open for public use, but with
all the immaculate, super-smooth race course conditions preserved
for your use and enjoyment.

As the Nor-Am test cycle and other scheduling news evolve
for this event we will add to this topic for archival completeness
so please review periodically for updates and be ready to reserve
the time for this excellent opportunity to witness some of the very
best skiing you will ever see.
