Despite the fact that there may be limited early season
terrain available, it’s not hard to see that what has been
opened has been a ton of fun and a great way to get
those dormant leg muscles activated for the upcoming
season. We often refer to these early times as very high
quality training where with repetitive runs you can find
the best lines and put a solid effort into building both
muscle and aerobic stamina.

The variety will come in due course, in the meantime,
like going to the gym, this is the time to work on core
development with patient effort applied to rep’s that
build foundational capacity.

Conditions Notes:

When there’s been 55cm’s of fresh snowfall in the
past 5 days, but the open trail count goes from 18
down to 12 within that timespan, you know there
are other forces at play. In this case, we think there
are 2 primary influences.

1) The 24 Hour Children’s Charity Fundraiser coming
up this next weekend requires a massive reconfiguration
of the Sud/South Resort Base zone for the event finishing
area as well as the course preparation extending right on
up to the Summit Gondola offload zone to La Crete.

2) Raw material, i.e. big, big natural snowfall needs a
strategic integration in order to maximize utility in
the long run. Let’s call that “processing”, then lets
combine that with a review of the snowmaking icons
on the Official Report below and you can see there is
a tremendous concentration of development over the
whole trail network. In the fulness of time, when
Mountain Crews are satisfied with the quality of the
expansion, we expect a rapid/big jump in the Open
Trail array that could see mid-to-upper 20’s of
Open Trails within 1 or 2 days.

For astute Tremblant Fans with discretionary planing
capability, get your ducks in a row for next week.
After all the events are over and the crowds have
gone home, the serious Tremblant Fans that have
patiently been waiting for a big increase in open
square area should be rewarded.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
