12/16/23 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

.
46(*) Open Trails.

Weather Notes:

Today will seem like an authentic winter day because of
the wind. At these base level velocity values, up at the
Summit there may be significantly higher peak wind
gust speeds that will make “Wind Chill” a real factor in
all-day comfort, so bundle up before you step out at
the top!

Conditions Notes:

On the Groomed:

Amazing, Fantastic, Fun, Fast, Super High Performance
And EASY... for/within all respective skill levels.

Please Note: The use of “Respective Skill Levels”
specifically means a realistic correlation between
your legitimate capabilities, and the difficulty or
slope angel challenge selected within posted
Green, Blue and Black ratings.

In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades/Bush/Un-Groomed:

a La Carte. Very individualistic conditions and hazard
levels dependant on traffic patterns over uneven and
variable base depths that have been subjected to wind
and drift shaping. Ski Patrol hand posted signage should
be respected and obeyed on a trail-by-trail basis.

Please Note: It is very common that initial Sous Bois/Hors Piste
openings are subject to suitable weather permitting conditions
to remain open. The trail base is still very early-season shallow
and in the event of late fall mildness or lack of additional
snowfall, these trails could close if the weather conditions do
not permit, so enjoy them while you can if this is the open
trail group that motivates you to get out.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus Xmas scheduling, return delayed.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
