Weather Notes:
Comparing this hourly forecast profile against the posted
freezing drizzle weather warning is what prompts us to
suggest what we think will be the significant probability
of the elevated Alpine trail network remaining dry for the
most part.

Please Note: We think this may be more inconvenient for driving
than any effect it may have on Mountain elevations where it is
more likely to be a very temporary event that could make things
seem a bit “crusty” for a short period.

Conditions Notes:
Very good machine groomed surfaces that may periodically
have “crusty bits” due to localized precipitations of variable
degrees of froze or wet elements.
Technically we think the skiing is going to be fast and fun
but the challenge may be the atmospheric part that could
manifest difficulty in 2 areas. The first is staying dry. This
is likely going to be Descente Poncho weather. Secondly,
vision, where any kind of sleety or frozen particulate may
inhibit clear vision due to goggle lens coating. At these
relatively “warm” early winter temps, it may be possible
to ski with goggles up, however that may only be possible
on a run-by-run basis.
It is also possible that the entire day may simply be overcast
and that any precipitation is at ground levels and that Mountain
elevations remain dry all day long.
A lot of wildcards, but our 80/20 observational principle is
that 80% of the time the elevated Alpine trail network is
way better and way less effected than ground levels with
these types of active weather profiles. We would feel even
more confident in favourable, dry, all-day utility if the
cloud ceiling is low, i.e., the cloud is low and making the
Summit foggy.

Please Note: In our opinion the line at the Sud/South Gondola
is simply a Sunday morning one-way upload and once this
group gets dispersed at the Summit, the line will fade quickly
as traffic spreads out to the far 4 corners.
