Fortunately, last night’s grooming shift started
well after the temp’s dropped below Zero C,
so the final, freshly blended product should
actually have very good consistency today, however...
It is a weekend Saturday, and it is the last Saturday
of the U.S. Presidents Week Ski Holiday period,
so it may be busy.
The level of busy may have a lot to do with the
durability of loose top layers, so you’ll need to
be aware of evolving wear patterns throughout
open hours, especially in trail centres, where
trails narrow or converge, where trails intersect
or on run-outs.
Scan, Scan, Scan... then scan some more because
there are a lot of mixed skills sharing space and
the best way to avoid “Close Calls” is to have finely
developed situational awareness and allow really
wide passing margins around inexperienced
Beginners who may be found circulating over
all 4 corners.
