3.23.24 Statistical Data Point:

At 441cm’s Of So-Far Snowfall Accumulation, Tremblant
Is Now Just Over The 35 Year Total Seasonal Average.

Of course it’s been a bit of an odd pathway with two
significant very mild spells along the way and the
overall warmest winter in North American recorded
weather history, but none the less we have to be
thankful for achieving this important marker, especially
when we the need is critical for durability as we approach
the final stages of the season.

Weather Notes:

If you had to call the two primary components of
good ski conditions as big snow and big cold,
this recent “Cold Snap” that we are experiencing
is certainly a major component of trail base stability
moving forward towards durable quality in the final
phases of the season. It looks like we’re going to every
bit of that influence starting in the next couple of days.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

A very high degree of refined finishing
across the entire range of freshly groomed
terrain with significant reductions in icy bits
and an overall increase in transitional quality
between skill level challenge ratings that should
make learning progression easy, especially when
moving up through Greens to Blues.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

42cm’s of fresh snowfall in the last week is obviously
going to have a profoundly positive effect within these
categories, however there are definitely going to be
zones of extreme favour generated by strong winds
that shaped the way the snow was laid down over
the Mountains topographical contours.

Consequently there will be sectors of excellence,
as well as sectors of raw, all with the potential to
have variable chances of hazard within any given
descent path. All of these categories are still very
much Expert skills and experience required and
with very careful attention to hand posted Ski Patrol
signage that must be taken seriously.

With this much new snow we thought the Edge Sector
would be back open because it is one area that may
have gotten wind drifted backfill benefit throughout
the recent snowfall events, however it is still shown
as closed. We will attempt to find out the status on
that sector, but in the meantime we can tell you for
a fact that there will be a lot of climbers over there.
