We’re fortunate to have actual early morning pic’s
to show and even though they are iPhone images
that have a wee challenge with the lighting contrast
generated by the trail surface being under cloud
shadow, there is no doubt that Nansen Haut/Upper is
in spectacular condition for high performance first
tracks. This could be you, this should be you standing
right here, ready to carve out the rest of this corduroy
classic, one of the finest trails in all of North America,
since 1939.
Weather Notes:
We are very thankful that the forecast is evolving
towards overcast. At these temps, reducing the
transfer of thermal energy from direct solar radiant
exposure will make a huge difference to the degree
of saturation in the afternoon surfaces.
