The Rapid Onset Of Spring.

Yesterday we wrote about receding snow coverage as a
progressively limiting factor for access. This below is
another example, from yesterday at the Resort Base.

The trails we’re looking at are Johannsen, the main
descent, and Roy Scott, the perimeter access trail
coming in to the base from frame-left. In this case
we can clearly see the thaw occurring in several
areas of Johannsen, to the point that the Ski Patrol
has roped off the top crest to restrict entrance to
a very small gap where they have also hand posted
very obvious hazard signs. The alternate descent
path is going from right to left across the top to
descend on Roy Scott. Both of these areas are very
very close to loosing continuous linear coverage.

Conditions Notes:

Technically speaking, there will be some very fine
Spring Skiing surfaces, but obviously, enjoying them
may be a bit of a challenge on the personal comfort
level during any variable rainfall intensity.

All you can do is deploy the trusty old Descente Poncho,
or, if you’re really rich, put on your best Gill brand foul
weather sailing gear if it’s not packed away in a locker
on the sailboat that’s still in winter storage...

The weather may cause dynamic open terrain and/or lift issues.

For best results, check with the Tremblant Info. Ski Crews.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
