Sunny And Really Cool, But Warming Quickly!

Weather Notes:
9cm’s of snowfall, estimated first tracks
could be as low as -20C at Summit...
Deja vu White Winter Re-Boot.
Legitimate “Bundle Up” Advisory!
In the meantime, check out the snowfall forecast potential
for the next 3 days! Furthermore, if you consider the temp
ranges for the entire long range forecast, every single bit
of precipitation over naturally cooler elevations could all
be snow for the next week!
PAY ATTENTION Regional Tremblant Fans... This might be one
of the last blasts of genuine winter like snowfall conditions!
Plan Accordingly!
Please Note:
Resort Zone Early Morning Timing Advisory:
Allow a big bunch of extra time if you are driving
short distances to get to the Mountain because a
lot of snow came at the end of the warmest part
Apres Ski and if your car was stationary through
that time, it is now covered in a thick layer of
frozen icy snow that is very difficult to break
through to open doors and clear ice off glass.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
Here are your stars in today’s showings. With 9cm’s
of new snow over a 2 day refroze base that has also
had 2 days of night-shift grooming, we’re forecasting
a substantial increase in both winter-like very fine and
loose skiable top layers, over a far wider range of open
terrain.
Tremblant Mountain Op’s are masters of recovery and
today should be a text-book example of how much and
how quickly conditions get restored.
At the temp range forecast for today, combined with
cool and gusty breezes, we do not expect there will be
enough warmth to generate solar energy softening of
any trail surfaces except maybe, by nearly last run, the
bottom of Soleil and/or the Resort base Johannsen.
3.21.25.Sud.South.Johannsen.Colours.Of.Fun.d.jpg
Otherwise we think is going to be a very technical day
with totally solid substrates and shallow loose top layers
that will want subtle applications of edging force to
avoid blow-out.
Conditions in the groomed could be very evolutionary related
to traffic patterns that you will want to be observant of. As you
see things changing/developing, use proactive speed reductions
on approach to all crests, steeper pitches and well above trail
convergences and/or intersections. There will be icy bits.
Fresh edge tuning is critical for optimized safety and performance.
It will definitely be “Fast”.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
If And When They Open...
In our opinion, the Hors Piste and Glades may be the most
forgiving, if you could call it that. At least the new snow
should add some cushion, but because it was on the thick
warm and wet side, it could still be very crusty now due to
the rapid drop in the overnight temps.
In the mogul/bump runs, really solidified lumpy is likely.
There may be some fill-in between mogul tops, but the
overall windy with very big gusts did not allow for much
in the way of an even top layer, so it will definitely show
evidence of being blown over and into contour shaping.
Explorations should be undertaken by experienced Experts
only, using extreme caution with slow speeds and line-of-sight
navigation in which you can turn, brake, pivot, jump, or stop
virtually instantly, in order to have safe descents. Hazards will
not always be visible from above.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
