69(*) Open Trails

It may start out “crispy", but it won’t take long
to warm up the top layers...

Overall Summary: Maybe(#) Damp Atmospherics, But Fast Fun Skiing!

People laugh at us when we say we’ve had
some of our most fun ski days in weather
like this, but it’s true...

(#) There are some conflicting weather signs this morning.
The Official data below indicates rainy icons, but our hourly
weather source says overcast only, so our poncho notes are
just in case...

------------ 9:03 A.M. Insert Update: --------------

So Far, So Good... with only “overcast" !

So-far, today squarely fits into our 80/20 principle
where conditions over the Mountain are 80% more
user friendly than ground levels when there’s a
low cloud ceiling and temps floating around Zero C.

Weather Notes:

Despite some differences in source opinions
on atmospherics, the fact is it's going to warm
up and under what ever circumstances, it is
forecast to have our favourite weather component
which is low to no wind. Trail surface stability always
benefits with low wind values because heat does not
get driven into the top layers.

Here’s Hoping Its Only Overcast....

Memories Of Yesterday...

...and with any luck, quite nearly the same great skiing!

Attention Bushwhackers!

You need to be ready to hop, skip, jump, pivot, etc., etc.,
but basically, for any April 11 on record, upper Nord/North
Sous Bois/Un-groomed conditions are very good and we can
tell you for a fact there is variably up to 1.5 Metres/5 Feet
of snowpack in the adjacent Sous Bois/Bush here.

The Tremblant Info. Ski team pictured at their
Summit station at the Gondola offload exists for the
singular purpose of helping you to optimize your days on
the slopes here. You have instant and literal decades of
local experience to tap into at any and every moment
so even if you’ve never been here before, you already
have new best friends on the Mountain you can trust
and rely on.

Conditions Notes:

Generally:

An authentic, typical, totally normal April spring day
with all the effects of a cool overnight followed by
a warm, potentially damp day, where the surfaces have
embedded cold in them that should retain smoothness in
the groomed all day, and highly variable Expert challenge
across the Sous Bois group .

Regardless of what your trail preferences are, the
wear factor should not hardly exist as traffic loads
are very light.

This hourly weather profile may generate changes
in the Open trail list. For best results, consult the
unique Tremblant Info. Ski Crews at their Summit
station frequently.

If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
