While the Soleil Sector is closed during the weekdays this
week, it is projected to open for the final Easter Holiday
weekend of the season and based on the current evidence
of visible raw material and conditions both finished groomed
as well as au natural un-groomed, we are confident that weather
permitting, that should be easily possible.

-------------- 8:55 A.M. Insert Update: --------------------

There has been as much as a +7 C temp inversion to a warmer Summit
this morning. Very unusual to this degree, but we think it will even out
by the noon hour.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Ultra-Spring super soft conditions may start early
today due to a significant temperature inversion
to a warmer Summit level by over +6 C.

This could be highly variable over and around open
sectors and elevations so you’ll need to be ready
for anything.

A major asset for retained speed and glide in any
spring skiing scenario is ski base wax or coating
for “warm” range snow surfaces. We actually use
a hydrophobic coating applied with a small disc
pad that takes about 6 minutes to do a pair of
skis and for that investment we can whiz around
with obviously greater ease and speed than most
others who may be finding the warm moist spring
snow to be sticky or lack glide on shallower slope
angles.

If you’re attending at Tremblant this, or any other
spring, do some homework, research base coating
treatments and bring your gear to the Mountain
prepared for optimized performance. A very little
effort and a small investment can really make big
differences when saturation drag potentially exists.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Very near ideal in the end of season open terrain.

Lots of durable base that has remarkably few hazards
for this date.

Please refer to the pic. above of Versant Nord/North Side
Windigo, off the Expo Sector peak as a summary/sample.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
