2/16/26 #Tremblant Conditions

102/102(*) Open Trails At #Tremblant .

Starts Out Sunny, Ends Up Mild... Perfect!

In this exact case it’s actually perfect that we’re
moving from sunny to overcast as the eventual
cloud will act as a solar umbrella when the temp’s
rise close to the freezing mark and we don’t need
any thaw influence.

We think that the early temp inversion may even out
by somewhere around 11:00 AM and that hopefully,
we’ll get back to cooler temps at elevations that should
preserve all day winter snow characteristics underfoot.

Weather Notes:

WOW... this is just about the mildest forecast stretch we’ve had
in 3 months....

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Absolutely spectacular, fabulous, super-fantastic refined
grooming due to multi-night-shift compacted refinements
that have excellent, virtually ice-free surface density facilitating
superb grip and responsive control.

We fully expect all those attributes to be universal across
all skill levels with the added bonus of close to seamless
connectivity that is going to make it an outstanding day
for learning progression.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

At least for today we expect a full carryover of previous
full winter loose, dry, easy natural snow feel, however
as the day progresses, there may be a noticeable decrease
in the lightness of sensation if the temp rise is sufficient
to raise the internal humidity levels in the snowpack.

That could increase the effort needed to navigate if thickness
is generated however, if that happened, it is likely that control
inputs may have quicker responsiveness in any higher ambient
snowpack density.

Please Note:

On February 14, 2026 there was an operational service interruption
and closure of Versant Nord/North Side Base, Duncan and Expo Quad
Lifts. Tremblant.ca has provided an update Via the Official Tremblant
Blog and that is an active link posted in the long form Official Snow
Report of 2.16.26.

(Anecdotally, in our electrical systems experience, when more
than one component failure simultaneously occurs within a
single infrastructure system, it may indicate an overwhelming
upstream/external source power surge might/could have happened?)

We are including an archival excerpt record for context/reference.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the “Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

 If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
