Rope Tow originates at the summit, on the north east corner,
directly behind and below the Lowell Thomas triple chair
unloading zone. It runs directly under the Lowell Thomas
chair to the intersection of#73 La Traverse and #69 Rigodon.
Rope Tow has been the principle location of the big north
side terrain ramp features and for the seasons of 2006/07
2007/08 and 2008/09 was the site of the "Half Pipe".
In this shot below, taken 4.10.10, you can see #67
Lowell Thomas, coming in to the bottom of Rope Tow,
behind the trees, right screen. Just left of center screen,
are the upper entrances to #69 Rigodon and #73 La Traverse.
This entire sector running under the Lowell Thomas Chairlift
was referred to as "Lowell Thomas" until sometime near the end of the
20th Century, when the portion immediately under the Chairlift
was re-named "Rope Tow" and a terrain park was installed with
a series of features that has evolved from season to season.
The pic. below looks up and shows "Rope Tow" on screen right,
and to screen left the remaining portion of "Lowell Thomas".
The two runs are separated by a small bush section.
