Got some Apres Ski Pic's loaded up and more later...
sorry for the amateur photography, left glasses in the car...

Scroll down through "Replies"

It was an excellent day....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tremblant is in great shape
and will be improving every day.

It's that simple... remember this?...

The Official Open Trail count is at 7 this morning, so we continue to have
4 major ways to get down.

1) North- P'tit Bonheur to Lowell Thomas Triple Chair via La Crete, from
the summit, and on the bottom, the run-out plateau of Beauchemin where
it comes into the Lowell Thomas loading zone. Conditions over here are going
to be exceptional today. The center could become a bit slick with use, but we
predict that the edges of P'tit Bonheur will be excellent all weekend long.

2) South- 3 major ways to get down... Nansen Upper to Mi-Chemin,
Upper Beauvallon and Upper Alpine, all ending up at the TGV High Speed
Detachable Quad Chair.

The weather... Perfect.

Sunny, easy, just below freezing, starting out at -7C, rising to -2C at base
level, so the summit will be about 4 or 5C cooler. Light North-West winds
predicted, so they will be coming up the Mountain from the Beauvallon-Nansen
sectors.

Bring your camera!

The rest is up to you, time to get organized and head for the Mountain.

With a return to a very stable winter weather pattern for the foreseeable
future, Tremblant's surfaces will do nothing but get better and better.

This stability will also allow Mountain Crews to seriously build quality terrain
for the upcoming 24hr marathon Children's Charity Fundraiser.

This means we will have top to bottom skiing and boarding within the next week
on at least the South Side and if things went very very well, the North Side too.

Depending on how much natural snow we get, the process of adding additional
open terrain will vary, but the forecast still seems quite favourable.

Here is todays Official Trail and Grooming status.

Apres Ski...

Tremblant was everything we thought it would be today,
only better...

The thing is, no matter how much your mind can anticipate through visualization,
in this case, reality is a far greater joy.

There was a huge group of Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance members.

Here are some snap shots. If it looks like they're happy, we're thinking
it was just as much the exceptional conditions as it was all the obvious
friendships.

Here's look at Lac Tremblant from mid-upper Nansen.

By the way, our thanks to Pat and the Gondola crew. We thought
we might have lost a camera at the end of the day, and they were
kind enough to call the Summit Crews to keep an eye out for it.
Turned out it had slipped through an opening in a jackets inside webbing
and got lodged in the powder cuff. We appreciate the effort though,
so, "Merci", "Thanks!", Pat!

Just for the record... after the fire that took out the Duncan Summit
control station, the debris has been loaded up and the site is pretty
much clean and ready for the reconstruction. This lift is a Doppelmayr,
so we imagine that the parts are on their way. The Canadian office
for Doppelmayer is in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, so hopefully that means
we could get some quick service. Typically, the Duncan Quad Chair opens
before Christmas. We don't have any idea how quickly the system can
be restored, but with the site so visible to Mountain users, we'll soon see.
