83(*) Open Trails on all 4, Snow Dusted Sides of Tremblant.
Snow Dusted… as in a light, top layer created by overnight flurries
creating a cosmetic refresher and a functional enhancer but not of
significant depth.
6:46 A.M. Tremblant Web Cam Composite R&D Eye-Opener...
Even though the Snow Dusting is not of great depth, it does not mean
it won’t help performance.
Imagine this… two flat surfaces moved over one-another.
(Skis and Yesterday’s Base)
Now… between the two surfaces… add a single layer of tiny ball bearings.
(Overnight Snow Dusting)
You don’t need to be a Rocket Scientist to conclude the addition of the
ball bearings may affect the coefficient of friction.
(Same here with snow dusting.)
Someone out there may ask…
Isn’t it more like a Lubricant than Ball Bearings?
We don’t think so.
Maybe after it warms up a bit, but @-20 C for First Tracks, we think it’s
gunna be like Wicked Fast Ball Bearings!
--------- 9:30 A.M. Update and Weather Notes ----------
The Sun has shone brightly for a brief period this morning, however the
probability is that there will be a developing overcast as the day progresses.
The rest of the days Weather forecast is for Overcast with Scattered Snow Flurries,
an After Lunch daytime high of -10C and a Westerly Wind at Moderate levels
that will be crossing the Summit from Taschereau toward the Lowell Thomas
Triple Chair Off-load zone.
It’s another Prime Winter Day that in all likelihood, will be followed by
two weeks of gradually warming, Very Sweet Prime Winter Days!
Grey, or Not-So-Grey, Partially Sunny, Partially Cloudy, Flurries, No Flurries,
Shadows, or Overcast, No Matter… it’s 100% Tremblant Certified Winter!
---------------- end of weather notes -----------------------------
Grey Or Not-So-Grey, you can always find the Colours Of Fun at Tremblant
where Winter Fashion has been on the forefront for 75 Years!
We love the Bright, Bold Colours we see at the Lifts! Even Bindings that were
always dull, are now available in all the neons to go with the Splashy
Outerwear.

Even though the Open Trail Count has not increased from yesterday,
so far today, ...the “Fine Print” states that Open Trails can change in
Number without notice, and this is the type of day that you may see
that happen. Two days ago if you added up the Open Trails with the
Progressive Openings, the total possible was 91, so we think that there
is still a possibility of an increase at any time.
We could be wrong on that if Mountain crews are waiting for more
substantial Snowfall before re-opening some Trails.
In the Mean-Time...

Grooming, Snowmaking and Lift Status for February 25th, 2014,
Courtesy of Tremblant.ca
Mountain Crews have been Grooming/working around the clock, there’s
been another day of Mountain Guest Traffic, and another night of Cryogenic
Surface exposure, so we think there’s every good reason to not only see
more Open Terrain shortly, but we also think…
Today Is Going To See The Return of Almost Universal High Performance
Carving Surfaces On All Tremblant’s Array Of Groomed Terrain.
Welcome Back to Excellent!
