Today’s Quality is Directly Proportional to the Night-Shift’s Grooming
after the brief +1C that the South Base Level had for a couple hours
yesterday afternoon.

That means get ready for Excellent!

The fact that yesterdays daytime high’s occurred during Open Hours is a
good thing because Traffic kept the surfaces loose, particularly on the North
where the setting Sun’s shadow is cast early and things begin to firm up.

The end-of-day result as the temp’s returned to Sub-Zero, late afternoon
into evening, was like a frosty membrane over Trail Surfaces. This was
due to the overwhelming presence of the Super-Chilled Base and it’s
supporting Hard Frost into the Mountain, as well as the short and
barely plus nature of any Thermal exposure.

Grooming should have taken care of 95% of that and we’re forecasting
a superb, very fast day of enjoyment for Mountain Guests.

The Level of Guest Enjoyment will be directly proportional to the
state of the individuals Edge Tuning. The top layers of Groomed
loose snow are not quite as deep as they were 48 hours ago, so
Sharp Edges are critical for Optimal Performance.

Icy Spots can occur, particularly below Crests and on Steeper faces
but they will be very small compared to the overall surface area.

Let’s not forget the Un-Groomed!

Todays Weather...
All Sun and All Sub-Zero, so Very Scenic and Very Fast!

Daytime high at -4 C, with low to moderate breezes from variable East to Sou-West
so they should not be much of a concern at all.

Everyone who’s been looking forward to
the “Easy” temps of “Spring” weather cycles
is going to be happy, but the Cool overnights
mean Morning “Firmness” and the need for
well Tuned Edges for Optimal Performance.
