3/19/14 #Tremblant Conditions
Posted: Wed Mar 19, 2014 5:59 am
86(*) Open Trails on 3 Sides of The Forecasted Snowy Slopes at Tremblant.
Up to 15 cm’s worth, a wee bit over a half/foot,
starting at about Noon... if they’re right.
"More Winter” … If you run out into a busy Downtown Street
or into the Courtyard of the Mall in “YourTown” and Shout “More Winter”,
likely as not, you’ll be mobbed by an angry Crowd and left beaten
to a pulp for being enthusiastic about the Beautiful Extended Winter
Weather that “FlatLanders” are so frustrated with.(**)
We, on the other hand, Rejoice!
As in this sample, there was just the faintest hint of distant Horizon Cloud
at Sunset yesterday… No doubt, a Classic, Gorgeous Tremblant day….
Thank You Mother Nature!
“Spring” and “Heat” and “Golf” will come soon enough….
in the meantime… The Skiing and Boarding are Excellent Mild Winter,
over a 100% Very Well Established Base of Super Cool Frost Support
that is going to keep Superb, Way Above Average Conditions for the
entire rest of this Great Season.
page under Progressive Assembly…
but never mind that, it’s time to pack up and run away to Tremblant.
Make all the polite excuses you need to, then load up the Vehicle,
Book a Flight on Porter or any other Airline, Hop on a Train,
Hitchhike, Crawl, Walk… just get yourself here…
More Weather Notes:
-9C under overcast Sky’s with daytime high temp close to Zero C.
The Mountain should all stay slightly Sub-Zero due to Elevation,
however a Strong East Wind is a bit of a wild card. That Gusty wind
will start out crossing the Summit from over Duncan towards McCulloch,
but it may shift as the day unfolds.
Forecast Notes:
More to follow as time permits...

(**)As markers of Significant Historical Perspective, The Seemingly
Endless Winter Weather is One of Three “Top Stories” in the General
Current Events of this Week also including the Russian Military Annexation
of Crimea, and the Mysterious missing Boeing 777 Malaysian Airlines
Aircraft over the Indian Ocean for the past 10 days.
Of these 3, the Weather is what Eastern North Americans are faced with
most directly and it’s also the thing that is costing that same group the
most right now as the cost of many currently used forms of Heating,
like Natural Gas, are running low in stock where replenishing has created
shortages of supply and price increases of up to 40%. The estimated Regional
Extra costs to heat homes through to the end of the Heating Season is basically
$1,000.00 increase per household.
