The Fog cleared in time for the Official Start of the 14th
24 Hour Children’s Charity Fundraiser Marathon and both
the crowds and the donations came out in full force.
With less than 2 minutes to go before the start, the Pledge Total
set a new record at $2,050,000.00.
The determination and enthusiasm of the moment was evident in the faces
of all the participants as the countdown reached Zero and the mad dash
up through the village to the Gondola began.
In less than 15 minutes, the very first pair of participants blasted the course
to cross the line at the Mountain Course Base Finish/Pits/Lift Zone.
Essentially, each team gets one active Bib worn by the member on the course
and that Bib is transferred to the next team member at the Finish Line Pit Zone
before they can begin their laps.
Of course, standing at the Base of Tremblant’s South Side looking up at
Johannsen, one can’t help but wonder how the Mountains Ski/Board surfaces are...
A couple of Zooms later, here’s the best clue to conditions....
Carve That!
more, later....

17(*) Open Trails for Public Use during #Tremblant 24Hour
Children’s Charity Fundraiser Marathon.
In Addition, there are 6 Dedicated Fundraiser Course South Side
Trails, therefore, the total number of Trails In Use is 23(*).
Here’s one of our 24Hr Archive Filepic “Go to” Fave’s for the one day in the
year that it’s possible to go Night Skiing at Tremblant!
Repeat Mountain Guest Utility Notice:
Weather Notes: At this early stage, they sure did get the “Foggy” part
right in the Weather Forecast... it’s actually Pea Soup at 6:30 A.M.
....supposed to clear off and be sunny for Noon, right at the start
of the 24Hr Event, and remain that way for the afternoon.
The daytime high temp at the South Resort Base may just touch
Zero, so very easy for both spectators and participants in the
early going of the 24Hr Event.
Those early mild temps are going to go down, but not significantly
until late eve., overnight when low teens Minus C will definitely
feel winter-like.
Conditions:
We don’t think the rise in temps will affect Open Trail Surfaces because
of the cooler Mountain Elevations which hopefully will all be Sub-Zero, all day.
The preparations of Mountain Crews are going to put Tremblant at the very
top of it’s possible quality. Playing Host to such a prestigious Event brings
out the very best Crews can do for the function of the slopes.
We’ll get back to ya on that one...

you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
