T360 Late, Late, Late-Night Apres Ski....
Wow... Beautiful and Cool!
There’s your whole Summary for today... and nothing we saw or Skied would
indicate otherwise.
99% Flawless, Mega Traction, Ultra Carve, and Very High Performance.
More in tomorrow’s.
-------------------- Noon Update --------------------
T360, 2 Part Noon Update:
1) Proof Of Beautiful:
2) Proof of Grooming:
In the body of the Original Post below, you will find a reference to
Grooming and Winch Grooming. The Pic above clearly illustrates
excellent samples of Grooming as evidenced by the symmetrical
Trail Surface Patterns Visible. Among them, “Zig Zag”, Trail #14,
the second Trail from Screen Left, would be a classic example of
a Winch Groomed run.
Grooming will make a profound difference in all Skill Level Terrain, we feel
particularly after a -28C overnight to Freeze Dry surfaces in place.
More Later...

86(*) Open Trails on the Kool 4 Sides of #Tremblant.
Bundle Up and Put Yourself in Either This Picture....
... or This Picture.....
Skis Or Board Does Not Matter... Alpine Snow Sport Conditions are
Pure Winter, Pure Fun and Very Pure Health Enhancing Exercise!
When Surface Conditions are this good, we think it is entirely possible to
exercise at a level that you could not normally sustain in a Gym setting
and we further theorize that is because of a combination of naturally
occurring Adrenaline and/or Endorphin release experienced due to the
unusual relationship between your Brian and the Speed over the surface
that combine to divert feelings of fatigue.
Furthermore.... No Gym on the Planet has the Quality of Air that a day
outdoors at Tremblant provides.
It is a fact that cold air is more dense. It is a fact that Cold air contains more
Oxygen per unit of Volume than Warm Air.
So, at -28C early this morning, we respectfully submit that Bundling up
and heading out for First Tracks is actually a Very Healthy thing to do!
Skiing and Boarding are unique among Recreational Sports Activities
due to the absence of anything thicker than the Tremblant Phone Book
between your Body moving at significant velocity and the Surface
over which you travel.
You can go just as fast in other Rec. Sports, but in most cases, you will need
a big device like a Bike, or a Car to do it with, for a couple of examples.
The sensations of Speed are enhanced in Alpine Snow Sports due to
acceleration generated by the inclined pitch of surfaces, i.e., the “Slope”
and the value of the exercise enhanced by the necessity to harness and
control those forces of Gravity also due to the Slope.
These Described Elements are only some of the reasons and benefits
of including Skiing and Boarding as part of a Healthy Life-Style, there are
many, many more, but they may be the ones that help Motivate us to take the
time to carefully prepare to go outdoors when the Thermometer dips so low.
Condition Notes:
One of the most Positive signs of Very Fine Surfaces today, was the deployment
of the Grooming team yesterday, Apres Ski, that included Winch Grooming Units.
Winch Groomers have very large Gantry Booms that are capable of pivoting
360 degrees above the Machine to allow Steel Cable Fastening to anchors at
the top of Trails that are too steep to completely control the Machine action
with overwhelming slope and gravity. Below is a shot of a Pinroth BR350
departing the South Resort Base yesterday at about 4:15 P.M., on it’s way up
to work on the Mountain.
There were several other Groomers starting up the Mountain too, so we hope
to see good progress in Packing/Grooming today that should go a long way in
levelling out the thicker bits that have developed with the past Snow-Days, for
more even surface consistency.
Weather Notes:
Almost Ideal Winter Conditions for Near Term Tremblant Trip Planners.

with the Extraordinary series of recent Natural Snow Days.
Day’s that have very dramatically and positively changed
the Tremblant Experience.
Considering that Conditions were good to begin with...
...the integration and refinement of the New Natural Snow
will significantly advance Tremblant towards the fullness of
Seasonal Maturity.
